  1. goal

GOAL: Blackpool 5-1 QPRpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Andy Lyons (48 mins)

    That didn't take long then.

Blackpool had scored six league goals this YEAR before tonight.

Andy Lyons scores his second of the night with a header.

What a massive boost this could give the Tangerines' survival bid.

  2. goal

GOAL: Millwall 1-0 Swanseapublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Charlie Cresswell (47 mins)

Swansea had all of the possession in the first half at The Den, but barely a few minutes into the second half and they find themselves behind.

It comes from a corner which the Swans fail to deal with and after a bit of fumbling around in the box, somehow Charlie Cresswell finds a glimmer of daylight between all the bodies to strike into the back of the net.

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Stoke

    All to play for.

A win for Middlesbrough will move them to within one point of second-placed Sheffield United.

They took the lead when Chuba Akpom scored his 23rd goal of the season but in-form full-back Ki-Jana Hoever levelled for the Potters just before the break.

You'd imagine that Stoke leveller was VERY well received in South Yorkshire.

    Ki-Jana Hoever (45 mins)

I said Stoke wouldn't roll over and they're back level now!

Wolves loanee Ki-Jana Hoever scored the first league goals of his career on Friday and now he has three!

He gets in behind on the inside right and finishes with confidence through Zack Steffen's legs.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Stoke

Stoke are in good nick at the moment after a poor run and they're not going to roll over here.

Tyrese Campbell tests Zack Steffen in the home goal.

    • Fellow play-off chasers Peterborough are 3-1 up at Burton. Jonson Clarke-Harris, Ephron Mason-Clark and Harrison Burrows with the goals.
    • Charlton are 3-0 ahead at relegation-threatened Morecambe with Miles Leaburn scoring once and Corey Blackett-Taylor twice.
    • Ten-man Accrington trail 1-0 at home to Portsmouth after Lukas Jensen's red card and Joe Pigott's goal.

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Stoke

Jack Bonham is forced into a good save in the Potters goal from Aaron Ramsey's looping header.

The Villa loanee has three goals in his past two games.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Watford 2-0 Birmingham

Goals from Imran Louza and Keinan Davis give the Hornets a 2-0 lead over Birmingham at the break and are so far setting up Chris Wilder for the first win of his Watford tenure.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Blackpool 4-1 QPR

I really don't even know where to begin here...

Blackpool, who have won one league game since October, raced into a 3-0 lead inside 14 minutes.

Jordan Thorniley added a fourth before Chris Martin pulled one back for the shellshocked visitors.

The Tangerines will be three points from safety if they can see this one over the line.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Wigan 0-0 Coventry

An entertaining first half with lots of chances at both ends, but the deadlock is yet to be broken as Wigan and Coventry go in 0-0 at the break.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Rotherham 1-2 Preston

Goals from Tom Cannon and Ched Evans give the away side a narrow lead at the break.

Hakeem Odoffin had levelled for the home side in between.

I think there could be more goals in this one.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Goalless at The Den at half-time with Swansea enjoying the better of possession but neither side creating many major chances in front of goal.

  15. goal

GOAL: Rotherham 1-2 Prestonpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Ched Evans (45+2 mins)

Preston re-take the lead right before the break!

Ched Evans has his ninth of the season with a cracking finish after smart turn as the snow falls in South Yorkshire.

  16. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Millwall 0-0 Swansea

Olivier Ntcham has the perfect opportunity to put Swansea 1-0 up right before half-time, after George Long punches a clearance right to him.

Ntcham's strike from close range doesn't hit the target though and that could prove a big missed opportunity.

  17. goal

GOAL: Blackpool 4-1 QPRpublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Chris Martin (43 mins)

    Game on?

Chris Martin heads in from Lyndon Dykes' centre and I really don't know what is going to happen next in this game between two teams who came into this game in terrible form

  18. League Two updatepublished at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    #bbcefl

Grimsby are five days away from their big FA Cup date at Brighton in the quarter-finals and they are ahead at Sutton.

Michee Efete has grabbed the goal. Presumably manager Paul Hurst has told the players that places are up for grabs at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.

  19. League One updatepublished at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    #bbcefl

Burton had reduced the deficit at home to Peterborough with a long range effort from Joe Powell but Harrison Burrows has restored the two-goal cushion with a tap-in.

Posh began the night nine points off Bolton in sixth but with two games in hand, so three points from this one is a must to get in the fight for a play-off place.

While a second goal from Corey Blackett-Taylor and a third for Charlton may well have wrapped up the points from their trip to Morecambe as they lead 3-0.

  20. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-0 Stokepublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

    Chuba Akpom (23 mins)

    Who else?!

The Championship's leading scorer has his 23rd goal of the season and Middlesbrough are on course to close the gap to second-placed Sheffield United to one point.

Chuba Akpom finishes with the class we've come to expect from him and that is the 1,000 goal scored by Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
