Scotland beat the side ranked tenth in the world, but perhaps more importantly, put in a performance that showed their bottle. That will be the real boost for manager Pedro Martinez Losa.

His side are back in action on Tuesday, as they welcome Costa Rica to Hampden for a 19:35 BST kick-off. We'll be back with all your coverage then.

As pleased as I am with that Scotland win, I still can't quite believe we didn't get Sam Kerr v Sam Kerr.

I'm writing a letter of complaint to Australia manager Tony Gustavsson as we speak.

I told you Brogan Hay would be eyeing up her first Scotland goal.

Nice work from Caroline Weir on the left sees the midfielder drill one across the face, with the Rangers winger running in to meet it. Her effort is too high to trouble Mackenzie Arnold, though.

Martha Thomas, whose had the best of the chances this afternoon, has run her face this afternoon.

Brogan Hay is on in her place, eyeing up her first Scotland goal.

A crowd of 2136 inside the Cherry Red Records Stadium - a cracking turnout considering there's league football being played across England this Good Friday.

A sweeping Scotland move nearly turns it to two.

it's Kirsty Hanson with the chance after the Manchester United striker wins the ball back and plays the one-two with Caroline Weir. Her effort sees Mackenie Arnold stretch to tip it over the bar.

Australia's Hayley Raso gets a booking for sticking her leg out and upending Nicola Docherty.

I'd probably be fouling her too for fear of her scoring another belter, to be fair.

Australia are doing their best to get forward, but are being met by stern Scottish resistance.

The game's calmed down a tad from the frenetic pace after the opener.

Clare Hunt does her utmost to outdo Nicola Docherty's stunner.

She drives one at goal from way out, but it pings off the top of the crossbar.
