Up until now, you could only really hear the Hearts fans after their early goal. An well taken Danny Armstrong penalty has changed all that. All of a sudden, the Chadwick Stand is quiet and the other three sections of the ground have burst into life.

Decent game, this, thoroughly enjoyed so far by a healthy crowd. Two talismen in both teams on the scoresheet too, Danny Armstrong now into double figures for goals for the season. Just the dozen behind Hearts' top marksman, Lawrence Shankland, right enough.

The Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin looks fairly calm on the side-lines aside from the odd howler to his players...and he'll be fairly happy with his sides showing. Defensively they're doing their job, with Rangers threat, and they've had the odd foray forward giving Dundee United some hope. The loss of Peter Pawlett is a blow though....he's looked fairly lively for the visitors.

The 2-0 lead in no way flatters St Mirren. They have been outstanding, playing with pace and intent to go at Livingston at every opportunity.

Watt's goal was terrific as he showed remarkable composure at the vital moment.

Livingston, unusually, are struggling to cope with this.

Peter Pawlett, who hasn't had his injury problems to seek lately, pulls up with what looks a hamstring tweak.
