It must be so frustrating for Vilde Boe Risa to not get a run of games in the side, because every time she plays she has a good game and she [often] scores a goal.

Now it is City's turn to make a change. Hayley Raso replaces Lauren Hemp.

Whether or not Alessia Russo stay at United, she can't help them anymore tonight. She had a quiet game before being taken off.

Not that United lack for firepower.

I do hope Russo stays at Man Utd, I'd love her to stay in this league.

Who knows. Marc Skinner has got to be trying to nail her down to a new deal because she is fantastic. But who knows what could happen [this summer].

Good take from Khiara Keating in the City goal as United push forward.

But City come forward again and Mary Earps is worried by another cross from the right. It's Chloe Kelly this time and Earps punches the ball away - clearly concerned that it may also have been sneaking in.

Yes the goal has come slightly against the run of play, but every time City have come forward they look like a threat.

United failed to deal with the ball towards the back post, but you can't say that City haven't had the chances.

That's what happens when there is only one goal in it, you're still in the game and if you keep hammering at the door you can create the opportunities and get the goal back.

You just felt even with all the drama and for all Manchester United's dominance there was something left in this game for Manchester City!

They weren't prepared to watch their neighbours keep that faint title hope alive.

Now then United, what have you got?

GOAL - Man Utd 1-1 Man Citypublished at 68 mins

    Filippa Angeldahl

Out of nothing! More than a hint of good fortune about it but City will not care (and nor will Chelsea)!

United half-clear a corner, Filippa Angeldahl goes out to retrieve it wide on the right and sends in a cross...

It loops all the way over the back-peddling Mary Earps and in off the far post! City are level!

A really good attacking header from Shaw. She is such a threat in the box.

The amount of stick she is getting from the United crowd is just making her hungrier.

Decent chance for City - and it comes from another set piece.

Alex Greenwood sends in the ball from deep, Bunny Shaw meets it at the far post and it takes a sharp shot from Mary Earps to deny her.

As soon as they get the ball United their first thought is to attack, and do so as quickly as possible. They are relentless.

I know that is good for the neutral but sometimes you need to read the game - you're a goal up, a player up, keep possession of the ball.

    Man Utd 1-0 Man City

United's attacking players seem to find themselves running at an unguarded City backline every time they get the ball.

So far, though, they've not been able to find the killer ball to properly expose them and bring the second goal.

A confident gather there from Keating.

She managed to claim that cross between United players, before Russo who is so good in the air.

She also managed to distribute [the ball] well too. Definitely a confidence booster for her.

Given City need a win, it is not too much of a surprise that they chose to sacrifice a defender when Ellie Roebuck was sent off.

But faced with a United front three of Nikita Parris, Alessia Russo and Leah Galton - with Ella Toone just behind - City's back three are really struggling to plug all the gaps.

It's a thankless task, to be fair.

I know the decision will be made shortly [the World Cup squad], and like we said before, we've got a lot of fantastic young defenders but you can't rule out Houghton - she's been there and done it.

Sarina Wiegman has got a job to do and it is going to be difficult. She will be watching all of these [remaining] games to help her decide who she should take to the World Cup.

Lovely move from United as the front three combine.

Nikita Parris slides the ball down the right to Alessia Russo, who plays an inviting low ball across the face of goal.

Leah Galton is arriving and goes get a touch on it but it's not solid enough and the ball flashes wide of the post.

Now City want a penalty as Bunny Shaw goes down in the box.

It comes after an attack down the right, Chloe Kelly whips in the cross to the far post and it is headed back towards Shaw.

Hayley Ladd tries to clear it but did she go through Shaw? The referee says not. The replays suggest City might have had a case.

From where we are I didn't think it was a penalty [on Galton], I didn't think it was a free kick for City either.

Lauren Hemp has done really good work to recover, and I thought she managed to get her foot to the ball.
