GOAL - Aston Villa 2-0 Brightonpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 28 May 2023

    Ollie Watkins (26 mins)

What a lovely goal, what a job Unai Emery has done. Villa win the ball back and one pass slices Brighton open, Jacob Ramsey is in on goal but unselfishly knocks it square for Ollie Watkins to roll in.

    Leeds 0-1 Tottenham

"Que sera sera, whatever will be, will be, we're going to Coventry, going to Coventry". Gallows humour from the Leeds fans.

If you don't laugh, you'll cry.

It's going to need someone to step up, a moment of quality, a moment of magic. So far it is has just been safe.

You've got to believe that you have enough quality on the pitch to make something happen.

    Leicester 0-0 West Ham

Leicester's best chance yet I would sugggest. Kelechi Iheanacho backheels the ball to Harvey Barnes, whose low shot is dived on by Lukasz Fabianski.

    Man Utd 0-1 Fulham

Credit to Fulham who have an eighth Premier League away win in their sights. United, meanwhile, started the day in third. They've now been leapfrogged by Newcastle.

We've had the first shot of the fan listening to the radio shown on our tv monitors in the press box - Dean Smith might not want to know what's going on at Goodison but these fans do. Their side need to do more at the moment, West Ham with the better chances in recent minutes.

    Everton 0-0 Bournemouth

Dwight McNeil picks out Amadou Onana at the back post but he's stretching as he nods it over the bar.

  9. Cheered like a goalpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 28 May 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Brighton

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

The announcement that a potential Brighton equaliser has been disallowed after a video assistant referee check is celebrated almost as much as the Villa goal was by the home fans.

Julio Enciso was just offside when he collected the ball on the left flank before he crossed and Deniz Undav produced a lovely finish, which now counts for nothing. All the Villa players instantly appealed for offside and Brighton are denied.

Villa still on course for Europe.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 28 May 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Brighton

Jacob Ramsey is now into the book, plenty of early niggle at Villa Park. A reminder that Villa will be in Europe with a win today.

If this is Xhaka saying goodbye, let's keep him on a rolling one-match contract.

    Dom, Cornwall

So Xhaka just needs to get a yellow card, then after his scored his hat trick goal he can take off his shirt, get his second yellow, and get an ovation from the Emirates for the best final off game ever.

What’s the betting Xhaka gets a red card before he completes his hat trick?

  12. Tense at the bottom - as it standspublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 28 May 2023

It's still advantage Everton in the battle to beat the drop, but all it takes is a goal from Leicester to send them down as it stands.

    Looking bleak for Leeds...

    Leeds 0-1 Tottenham

The Leeds fans know the jig is likely up for their side this season. They'll be in the EFL next season. But they're trying to leave a bit of a pasting impression on the top-flight with near constant chanting.

Adam Forshaw almost gives them something to cheer with a shot from range that Davinson Sanchez sticks out a knee to block.

Life long Leeds fan, but first time I’m not in denial about how we deserve to be relegated. Our defence is criminal. I just hope we get a new ownership and rebuild.

Load the penalty box, look for second balls, get it in the area. You look at the players, James Tarkowski, Yerry Mina, Amadou Onana, Abdoulaye Doucoure.

You've got physical stature, put the ball in good areas.

Said Benrahma runs down the wing and pulls the ball back for the unmarked Michail Antonio, who shoots over from 20 yards. Leicester with questionable defending for the millionth time this season. Seconds earlier, Pablo Fornals shot wide.
