This was the scene inside Sydney Football Stadium this morning on a fairly bright day in New South Wales.

Players familarised themselves with the ground last night after Lucy Bronze and Sarina Wiegman spoke to the media.

The stadium was refurbished in 2022 and there was a great atmosphere when I came here for the 0-0 draw between France and Jamaica on Sunday.

England will hope they have similar support to what they received in Brisbane, where there were plenty cheering on the Lionesses.

  3. A winning startpublished at 07:57 British Summer Time 28 July 2023

    Played one, won one.

European champions England are one of the favourites to win the 2023 Fifa Women's World Cup and made a winning, if unconvincing, start to their campaign with a victory against tournament newcomers Haiti.

A much tougher task awaits Sarina Wiegman's side today with Denmark the opponents.

Can England get another win to take a massive step closer to reaching the knockout stages?
