  1. CLOSE!published at 9 mins

    Queen's Park 0-0 Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

A massive opportunity goes begging for Queen's Park!

Jake Davidson was only drafted into the line-up moments before kick off - he's put clear through on goal with a clever flick-on, but David Mitchell stands tall and blocks.

It bounces kindly back to Davidson but his shot is cleared off the line!

    Queen's Park 0-0 Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

Scott Tiffoney gets his motor running for the first time this match, zooming away from a Queen's midfielder before curling his shot high over the bar.

A tetchy opening, as the sun sets on Ochilview.

A very healthy travelling Partick Thistle contingent have parked themselves in the shed stand to the left of the dugout and are already making quite the racket.

Wonder how many of them scooted off early on Tuesday and missed Brian Graham’s winner? Fair certain they’ll be staying the duration tonight.

  7. How do the play-offs work?published at 19:37 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Queen's Park v Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

If you weren't listening on Tuesday, we'll go over it again...

The Championship title winners secure automatic promotion to the Premiership. Of course, that's Dundee. The second, third and fourth-placed sides then enter the play-offs.

Queen's Park, who somehow finished third, and Partick Thistle, who finished fourth, are battling it out over two legs to see who faces second-placed Ayr United in the semi-final. It finished 4-3 in the first leg to Partick Thistle.

Whoever wins that will then play the 11th-placed Premiership side for a place in the top flight next term.

    Clear? Aye? Lovely.

  8. Queen's will do it the hard way - Coylepublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Queen's Park v Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

Queen's Park manager Owen Coyle tells BBC Scotland: "We started the game well, could and should have been in front. We showed a lot of character to come from behind, albeit we conceded a really late goal.

"We know we have to win tonight or else our season is over, after what has been an entertaining and fantastic season. But, you want something tangible for your efforts. They're a young group who have learned a lot but we have an opportunity to get to the Premiership.

"We want to build something at this club that has longevity. It was never about a quick fix.

"We could get that prize, to be at the top table with the top clubs. We're going to have to do it the hard way, coming from behind again but we've shown we can do it."

  9. Doolan wants to pick up where Partick left offpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Queen's Park v Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan tells BBC Scotland: "[Stuart Bannigan] is a huge miss for us. He's been a big player for us for a number of years, especially this season. Since I've been here, he's controlled the middle of the park. Aidan [Fitzpatrick] came on last night and lit the game up.

"We want to start the game the way we finished things the other night - in terms of the aggression to put balls in the box, to get into the box themselves and score goals.

"You saw the character of the team to come back from 3-3, having led so convincingly. Hopefully, we see that character again tonight.

"[Queen's] will have to come out, but likewise we're not here to sit in. That's not the way we play. The best way to defend is attack."

  10. Bannigan injured; Coyle changes threepublished at 19:25 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Queen's Park v Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

Partick Thistle are missing midfield talisman Stuart Bannigan, who went off injured in the first half of Tuesday's first leg victory.

He is replaced by Aidan Fitzpatrick. Seventeen-year-old Zander MacKenzie comes on to the bench.

For the Spiders, Grant Savoury misses out. He too went off hurt in the first half of the first leg through the week. Alex Bannon and Jake Davidson drop to the bench.

They're replaced by captain Tommy Robson, Lee Kilday and youngster Aaron Healy - the former Arthurlie striker who makes only a fifth start for the club.

The only other play-off game tonight sees Clyde face East Fife in the League One play-off semi-finals.

Clyde are the team looking down, East Fife are chasing promotion. At the halfway stage, Jim Duffy's Clyde hold a slender lead thanks to a Martin Rennie strike.

  14. Ding, ding! Second round!published at 19:16 British Summer Time 12 May 2023

    Queen's Park v Partick Thistle (3-4 agg)

5-3 last Friday. 4-3 on Tuesday night. How many goals are we in for tonight?

Partick Thistle are in the driving seat, thanks to a 97th-minute Brian Graham strike after Queen's Park fought back from 3-1 down.

I don't think anyone knows how this one is going to go but, if we've learnt anything over the last few days, expect the unexpected. Buckle in.
