    Sweden 0-0 South Africa

That's the first half done. South Africa have worked so hard, defended well and, despite some uncertain goalkeeping from Kaylin Swart, go in at 0-0. They could've even scored but Refiloe Jane's brilliant attempt from 40 yards went just over the top.

Sweden have got into good positions regularly, only to be let down by the final ball.

Thembi Kgatlana chose the wrong option on that counter. She got her head up, saw Jermaine Seoposenwe and decided to go for goal.

When South Africa get that opportunity, they have to be clinical and take it.

    Sweden 0-0 South Africa

Sweden play a corner short, when surely testing the dodgy handling of Kaylin Swart may have been the better option.

The move breaks down and South Africa spring a quick counter attack. Thembi Kgatlana goes for goal instead of a pass, and the ball goes over. They could've made more of that.

Elin Rubensson had time and space to get her shot off and she just couldn't quite curl it round.

    Not far away.

A chance for Sweden in first half injury time. The ball falls to Elin Rubensson on the edge of the D and she goes for the curler, but can't curl it enough and it goes wide.

Amanda Ilestedt does well in the air and just couldn't quite get it on target.

Kaylin Swart is not the tallest but she has managed to get something on most of the headers, not that time.

    Sweden 0-0 South Africa

South Africa goalkeeper Kaylin Swart is making her defenders very nervous. A dreadful clearance gifts the ball to Sweden 30 yards out, but the only damage done is a corner.

Swart then tries to come for the second of the successive corners and Amanda Ilestedt gets there first, but heads just over the top.

Sweden just need to up the quality in the final third, get the key players on the ball.

We haven't seen enough of Fridolina Rolfo.

Another corner for Sweden and another inswinger from Jonna Andersson, which Kaylin Swart again struggles to deal with, but again her team-mates come to her rescue.

Sweden boss Peter Gerhardsson will be wanting a better final delivery from his players.

Twice more they get into great positions but the passes, firstly from Kosovare Asllani and then from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, are easily cut out with the opportunities wasted.

So difficult for defenders now, you have to keep your arms behind your back even. I think that was the right decision, no penalty.

    No penalty.

South Africa breathe easy. The ball had hit the raised elbow of Hildah Magaia, but the arm was close to the side of the body, so VAR says there is no need for a spot-kick to be awarded.

Sweden want a penalty for a potential handball from South Africa, with it bouncing off the elbow of Hildah Magaia.

We have had a penalty in all of the matches apart from the Denmark v China one and it is one for VAR to look at it.

Easy collect for Zecira Musovic but South Africa do well to hold the ball up and wait for players to get into the box.

They can't quite make the most of the shot but they will still gain confidence from that.

Sweden win another corner and Jonna Andersson looks to put goalkeeper Kaylin Swart under pressure, but the inswinger goes out of play.

Down the other end, Jermaine Seoposenwe has a try but it is easily caught by Zecira Musovic.

Thembi Kgatlana does well to cut inside on to her right foot to create a shooting chance for South Africa, but it isn't a clean connection and the effort dribbles well wide.

Sweden are just starting to crank up the pressure though and again progress down the flanks. This time it is Nathalie Bjorn who finds herself free on the right but her cross is met by a lovely diving header from Bongeka Gamede to clear her lines.

If Sweden can improve their final ball, they'll have a lot of success.

I'm sure South Africa will be pretty pleased with the opening stages of this game, they have frustrated Sweden at times.

It's a different test for Sweden, they've got to be patient and break down this South Africa backline. They've certainly got the ability to do that.

Sweden have their first shot on target - and it's one from the training ground.

They get a free-kick on the right 40 yards out and with South Africa expecting them to swing it into the danger zone.

But Kosovare Asllani plays it short to Filippa Angeldahl and the Manchester City midfielder tries her luck from 25 yards out with goalkeeper Kaylin Swart showing some unconvincing handling, but is able to gather the ball at the second attempt.

It's been a nervous start for Swart and that may well encourage the Swedes to try their luck whenever they can.

Refiloe Jane with the confidence there to see the Sweden goalkeeper Zecira Musovic off her line.

It's worth a go. Good work off the ball, putting Sweden under pressure.

She had the vision and awareness to see where the goalkeeper was but it just couldn't quite sneak in.
