Eugenie Le Sommer was very unhappy at not being allowed to return to the pitch for that corner after getting a bang to the nose.

Her, and three French coaches, were remonstrating with the fourth official.

France's Kadidiatou Diani blasts the ball against the arm of Clare Hunt in the Australia box. Nothing's given though, it would have been very harsh with Hunt just yards away from the ball when it was struck.

Much better from France as teenage substitute Vicki Becho uses pace and trickery to race down the right.

Her cut-back finds Eugenie Le Sommer but the forward can't get a shot away in the box.

Just over 20 minutes remaining, and you could still not pick a winner.

Australia have been the better side in this second half, but France are fighting them all the way.

You sense some major drama is coming.

The longer this one goes on, the more stretched we get.

It's no longer the midfield battle of the first half that's for sure!

France win another corner after Sam Kerr heads a wide free-kick behind, out-jumping the towering Wendie Renard.

The corner is dealt with too by the hosts who are defending brilliantly.

Boos in Brisbane as France coach Herve Renard is told to stay in his technical area.

France make a change as Sandie Toletti - one yellow away from missing the semi-final stage, is replaced by 19-year-old Vicki Becho.

Australia easily clear things away and then win a free-kick for offside.

It's incredible how quickly the mood shifted once Sam Kerr came on.

Australia are attacking at will now. That said, France have come down the other end and have won a wide free-kick in a great position.

How many chances do Australia need?!

The ball comes to Mary Fowler inside the box but her driven effort is straight at the feet of keeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin.

Either side and that's 1-0.

Sandie Toletti, one of seven starters in this game across the two teams who would miss the semi-final with a booking, is given a talking to after a rough challenge on Mary Fowler.

It is surprising no-one has been booked yet.

Australia sense something, they feel they deserve an opener now.
