Pauline Peyraud-Magnin in goal for France looks like a liability so far this evening.

She should have commanded that loose ball but crossed wires with Sakina Karchaoui, and allowed Emily van Egmond to sneak in and square to Fowler. She was only bailed out by the incredible block by De Almeida.

She hasn't looked comfortable with crosses so far either. Australia will look to pressure her as much as possible.

From the corner Australia have another opportunity as keeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin misses the ball but Hayley Raso can't scoop a volley goalwards.

Australia think they're 1-0 up as the ball is cut back to Mary Fowler.

The Manchester City forward thinks she has an open goal but Elisa de Almeida sprints back and blocks the shot with her knee.

Australia's defending is really passive.

There is no part of Hayley Raso that wants to close that ball down to stop France having the shot or from delivering the ball into the box.

That she is. Just when you think France are dominating, Australia send out a reminder.

Meanwhile, France's Sakina Karchaoui volleys way over from range.

Caitlin Foord is such a livewire, she's dangerous for Australia.

For a split second Australia look like they're going to go through two v one with Caitlin Foord bursting down the middle.

But the Arsenal forward can't find the right pass and France scramble back to smother the attack.

All France now as Kenza Dali volleys over from the edge of the box.

The home support has dropped a little, things feel very tense.

It's intense when France do go. They are causing Australia problems from set pieces.

Australia have to close the ball down a lot quicker than what they are doing. They need to stay switched on.

France come again from the next set piece but Lakrar's header is off target.

France are deadly on the break. Brisbane falls silent as they spring into life on the counter.

Eugenie Le Sommer has a pop from range but her deflected effort is pushed away by keeper Mackenzie Arnold.

With Australia, they are looking for the ball long to chuck up to Emily van Egmond.

Australia have rallied. They're the ones on the front foot.

Steph Catley has a wide free-kick for the hosts and the defenders come up but France keeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin is decisive and punches the ball away.

Caitlin Foord can't get enough on to her flick-on at the front post and it results in a scramble in the box.

There are bodies everywhere but France eventually get the ball away.
