David Moyes just gave Vladimir Coufal some instructions to pass onto Nayef Aguerd.

Fiorentina have started quickly, as we expected. But West Ham are holding firm so far.

Lucas Paqueta threads a ball through the defence and finds Jarrod Bowen in space. The striker lofts a ball into the box but it is cleared.

The Hammers then have a throw and the ball is played to Declan Rice on the edge of the area but he drags his first-time shot just wide. He didn't quite get the right connection there.

Dodo is ready to go again so we're back up and running.

Dodo is down on the ground now but he does look to be bleeding after getting caught in the face by Said Benrahma. He's getting some treatment so we've got a short break in play.

Fiorentina are pressing very high up the pitch and West Ham don't feel comfortable with that tactic so far.

David Moyes' side have largely struggled to get out of their own half in these opening 10 minutes.

Dodo's pass is intercepted by Michail Antonio but the West Ham striker is in too much of a rush to start a quick counter and he hands possession straight back to Fiorentina, who come forward again and Rolando Mandragora is not far off with a well-struck effort.

Fiorentina feel to be going down a bit too easily following any sort of contact but they don't really need to be winning cheap free kicks. They've settled better than West Ham and are seeing more of the ball.

First of all fantastic defending from Rice, Gonzalez cuts across and actually does him at first and he does catch him in the face, but it was a great tackle.

West Ham need to be careful

From that first contact, it is obvious Fiorentina will try and make the most of any tackles.

West Ham need to be very careful here. They must keep 11 men on the pitch.

Declan Rice produces a brilliant, brave tackle inside the West Ham box to take the ball away from Nicolas Gonzalez, who then goes down clutching his face.

The Italians feel Rice elbowed Gonzalez but the referee waves play on.

Fiorentina win a free kick deep inside their own half as Cristiano Biraghi is fouled, although he does go down a bit theatrically.

Lively start to this game as Christian Kouame pushes forward down the left for Fiorentina. He finds Giacomo Bonaventura inside the box but the forward is closed down before West Ham break and Michail Antonio hits a low shot that ultimately poses no threat to Pietro Terracciano.

KICK-OFF

It's loud, very loud inside the stadium as Fiorentina get this Europa Conference League final under way.

Out come the players and it is a brilliant atmosphere inside the Eden Arena.

Some may dismiss the Europa Conference League but you can't argue with how much it means to supporters of the teams that reach the final.

There are noticeably some empty seats in the Fiorentina end, which has not gone unnoticed by the West Ham fans, who don't think much to the Italians' support.

'I hope the squad turns up'

Former West Ham player Mark Noble speaking to BBC 5 Live before the game: "We got here early, you don't know about the traffic! The boys wanted to take in the atmosphere and see all the fans singing on such a special, special night.

"We have staff here who have been here just as long as I have, it means so much for the club and then especially the fans. You have to also remember the fans that are sadly not with us anymore."

Commenting on West Ham players' nerves: "Totally relaxed and look at our squad they have played in really big games and I just hope on the night the squad turns up."
