Declan Rice floats a ball in and Jarrod Bowen goes down inside the box after a clash with Cristiano Biraghi. West Ham fans want a penalty but there's doesn't look to be much in it on the replay.

The Hammers have a corner but nothing comes of it.

Michail Antonio does well as he leads a break and draws a foul to relieve the pressure on the West Ham defence.

There's some early defending for West Ham to do as Fiorentina put a few crosses into the box. The Hammers deal with it but they are firmly under pressure.

West Ham know they need to be much better in this half if they are to end their long wait for a major European trophy.

Fiorentina make a change for the start of the second half as Luka Jovic is replaced by Arthur Cabral. Jovic did appear to get injured when he 'scored' that disallowed goal.

"We've been praising the West Ham fans, and rightly so. It only takes a handful of idiots to do that. It needs to be sorted out and taken out of the game."

West Ham were fortunate to escape with that.

It was almost as if they were waiting for half-time and switched off defensively for a moment.

It is clear there won't be much in this game. If they had gone a goal down then, it would have been tough to pull back.

The whistle goes for half time.

Not a classic by any means but maybe that late disallowed goal will wake West Ham up for the second half.

Christian Kouame heads a cross onto the post but Luka Jovic is there to prod in, but the flag is up immediately for an offside.

This will be checked by VAR.

West Ham clear a corner with seconds left of the first half.

Fiorentina, for all their possession, haven't had a shot on target.

There's four minutes of time added on as Fiorentina come forward down the left, a deflected cross loops high into the air but Alphonse Areola is able to make the catch.

You get the feeling that one bit of individual brilliance could be the difference, even a set-piece opportunity. I think we will get a lot of injury time and at the minute it is very equal.

It has been niggly and lacking in any real chances. I don't think anyone will be disappointed to hear the half-time whistle here.

West Ham are finishing this half well as now Emerson floats a free kick in. The ball is initially cleared but the Hammers regain possession and a cross finds Tomas Soucek at the back stick but no-one is there for his knock down.

Better from West Ham as Lucas Paqueta works the ball wide to Said Benrahma, who gets a bit lucky as the referee awards a corner when he appeared to actually take a heavy touch.

The first delivery is headed behind for another corner, which falls to Declan Rice at the back of the box but his shot is blocked.

That sort of nonsense has no place in football. Got to feel for the Fiorentina players. Well done to Rice and the other West Ham players for stepping up but it shouldn't be needed.

David Moyes will be desperate to get his players in at half time and regroup. West Ham have been second best so far and haven't really put Fiorentina under any pressure.
