That's the end of this live text now. Thanks for joining us tonight as Sevilla beat Roma on penalties to win the Europa League.
Sevilla coach Jose Luis Mendilibar, 62, is the Europa League's oldest winning manager.
Maurizio Sarri had the old record (60) when he won it with Chelsea in 2019.
It was a first major trophy for Mendilibar and Sarri.
Roma’s Paulo Dybala became the first Argentine to score in a major European final since Lionel Messi in the 2011 Champions League final for Barcelona.
As mentioned earlier, Jose Mourinho chucked his medal into the crowd before making his way down the tunnel.
This lucky lad might have watched his team lose but he's going home with a Europa League medal ... bit better than a programme I guess!
Spanish teams have won the last 18 European finals in which they have faced a non-Spanish opponent, stretching back to Real Madrid's win over Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Champions League final.
Sevilla goalkeeper Bono was named man of the match by Uefa.
There's a chance neither team will be in the Europa League next year.
Sevilla will start off in the Champions League, and Roma are only one point above seventh-placed Juventus going into the final day in Serie A.

One good thing about tonight's match... I reckon Brighton would beat both these teams. Here's hoping...

Sevilla players lift the Europa League trophy as fireworks etc go off. It was inevitable really wasn't it. They always win it.
Sevilla players are getting their medals now. Each one gives the Europa League trophy a kiss as they walk past.

It's a bit odd that all of the official TV feeds aren't showing any footage of the "encroachment". I've just gone back to watch again and the keepers left foot is clearly still on the line when the pen is taken. This one could rumble on, no wonder Jose has just thrown his runners up medal away
Andrew
Roma players get their runners-up medals. Jose Mourinho got his a few minutes ago. It's probably on eBay now.
Usually I'd make a joke about the officials getting medals - but they deserve it tonight. Both sets of players and coaches were shocking really.
Sevilla players, with their nations' flags wrapped around them, give the officials and Roma players a guard of honour.
Jose Mourinho takes his runners-up medal off, throws it to a fan in the crowd and walks down the tunnel.
The trophy stage is set up. I'm sure Sevilla know their way round the formalities by now.
Only two of the first 11 Europa League finals (since its rebrand in 2009-10) went to extra time but each of the last three have now gone into extra time - and all went to penalties.
Busy night for Roma defender Gianluca Mancini.
He got his first European assist since last year's Europa Conference League final.
Then he became the second player to score an own goal in a Europa League final.
Then he missed a penalty.
He also got booked.

There are 3 certainties in life: death, taxes and Sevilla winning the Europa League if they reach the final
Will
OG and missed pen. Not a good day at the office for Mancini.

There were 13 yellow cards in tonight’s match – seven for Roma and six for Sevilla – which is the most yellow cards shown in a match in the history of all the major European competitions.
