Nice stuff from Joseph Mbong, who wins the ball back off Harry Kane and nut-megs James Maddison before he's fouled just outside his own area.

England fans are so hard to please, what's the expectation here? 3-0 up inside 28 mins and it's not good enough because it's 'boring'. Grow up!

You can tell they have a nice philosophy, Malta. They don't want to hit it long, they want to play out. It's good to see, but the trouble is they don't quite have the quality or the press from England is too much.

If we were watching Germany play this match the remarks would centre around efficiency, depth, flexibility, clinicality. Because we are England fans we call it boring. It’s been a very professional job so far and Southgate has launched some experiments.

Obviously not the greatest of opposition, but this has been a masterclass by TAA so far.

Bukayo Saka and Trent Alexander-Arnold link-up in the middle before the Arsenal winger turns sharply to escape his marker.
He lays it off to Harry Kane and gets it back again. Zach Muscat has to slide in just in time to stop him shooting but he's hurt Saka in the process.

Well that's me done, time for an early night. Soooooo slow and sooooo boring. Night night.

Harry Kane threads a dangerous ball through to Bukayo Saka but it's inches too far in front of him.
If Saka had been able to reach it, it was surely a fourth goal for England.

There wasn't even a tiny part of me that thought it wasn't going to end up in the back of the net.
He just calmly steps up to the ball just dinks it with a little bit of pace into the middle of the goal.
In total control of the game, both Harry Kane and England here in Malta.
