The automatic reaction to that attack from Wolves was bound to be a concerted attacking effort from Manchester United, either because they had conceded or they were lucky not to have.

Inexplicably, it was the latter, so United are level, have had a massive warning and I expect improvement.

    Matheus Cunha should have scored.

    Well done Craig Dawson.

Antony runs into a ball into the box, Jose Sa comes flying off his line and the United winger clips the ball above him. Dawson heads it off the line. Not 100% sure if it was going in but still.

    He has to score.

That is a massive let off for Man United, and will Wolves go on to regret that miss from Cunha?

How has Matheus Cunha not scored?!

It's a lovely move from Wolves through midfield and then into the box and it's flicked onto Cunha at the back post. Andre Onana and Raphael Varane can't cut the ball out but somehow Cunha hits the post from about three yards out.

Man United lost their opener here to Brighton last season, and they didn't lose a home game for the rest of the season.

You can look at all kinds of stats and numbers, Old Trafford was a fortress, and Wolves had the worst defensive record in the league.

There hasn't been any sign of that form so far tonight.

Paul: Man City were favourites for title anyway but after this opening weekend given the nature of how odds change I imagine the odds on them have shortened even more. Newcastle were brilliant but over a season can’t see anyone keeping pace with City this time either.

B: So much for Man Utd needing a top class striker. Not even Kane, Messi, Mbappe or Neymar (or Ronaldo) would get anywhere with the type of service being played towards the Wolves penalty area.

Stavros: Whatever the result, it's clear to see that the mentality is still the same, miles apart from having any real chance for the title. Not enough leaders in the team and I can't understand how Rashford is passing as a great striker, he has 0 PL titles all these years.
