Based on that showing Ten Hag needs to figure out how to play Mount and Fernandes in the same midfield. It looks like Bruno is sulking when Mount takes corners!

Utd's performance is just like the much heralded new Old Trafford stadium WiFi: hard to connect and when it does it's slow and then goes round in circles for ages!

Wolves have taken the game to Man Utd, good tempo, looked organised and found their way into the game very quickly.

Cunha has been the star of the show, gotten into some good areas, showed some brilliance on the ball.

United have also had their chances, Varane had a free header from the Fernandes corner, the Rashford chance from a Wolves mistake too.

United need to do much better with the players they have on the pitch.

    OK back to the football...

Man Utd are second best, they need to wake up and pretty quickly?

United are so casual. They don't seem to want to win.

Very impressed from Wolves start. The defensive press they have is much stronger than Man Utd’s. Nélson Semedo has been a very bright player for the travelling team too.

Worth a go! The ball comes to Alejandro Garnacho near the corner of the box and he leathers a shot in. It wasn't actually anywhere near the goal but we've been starved of chances so it was still exciting.

Manchester United have got themselves stuck in this game.

Too many passes are going into the areas Wolves want them and too many players are choosing the wrong option.

They got it right just then with the overlapping run from Aaron Wan-Bissaka but then spoiled it with an overhit cross from the other flank that took the pressure off Wolves.

This feels like the type of game that might suit Christian Eriksen, whose passing tends to be more secure.

Luke Shaw swings in a close-range cross which Jose Sa spills. Alejandro Garnacho is deemed to foul Matheus Cunha before the ball reaches Antony, whose shot is blocked. A bit of a scramble there.
