That's it for our coverage of the EFL.

What a day it has been, after Coventry kicked off the action with a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Boro are one of four teams still without a point in the Championship, while Ipswich and Leicester are the only sides with two wins from two in the second tier.

There are just eight other 100% records in the EFL - with Wigan moving on to -2 points in League One after their second victory.

If you're desperate for more action, then there's a full programme in Leagues One and Two on Tuesday. Thanks for joining us, and until the next time.

What an afternoon it has been in the EFL.

This afternoon's Championship games have seen 36 goals go in.

With late goals aplenty and the action pretty much done, let's take a breath and look at the headlines from across the three divisions.

They're still playing in League Two at Bradford after a late finish to the first half.

    What a crazy game.

Southampton salvage a point through an Adam Armstrong penalty in the game's final minutes after Kyle Walker-Peters was bundled to the turf in the box.

Norwich will be disappointed to leave St Mary's without the win.

    But what a cracking game.

    West Brom 3-2 Swansea

West Brom hold on to claim a first win of the season after what was a remarkable game.

Albion looked to be cruising when John Swift scored from the spot on 64 minutes, but Swansea suddenly came to life and scored late goals through Harry Darling and Nathan Wood.

They might have scored a late equaliser through Ben Cabango, but Albion held on, just.

It is a first defeat of Michael Duff's Swansea reign.

    Hull 4-2 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheff Wed took the lead against the run of play - but from there, their afternoon went a long way downhill.

Ozan Tufan scored a hat-trick before a defensive calamity gave Hull a fourth goal.

Michael Smith's stoppage time goal was little consolation for Wednesday.

  9. CHANCEpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 12 August 2023

    Southampton 4-4 Norwich

Carlos Alcaraz should've scored for Saints.

    He fires just wide.

The Norwich keeper Angus Gunn will be relieved to have seen that miss the post.

My word. Frantic. Chaos at St Mary's.

But Blues fans won't care one jot as Lukas Jutkiewicz's injury-time penalty gives them all three points.

A first home win to start a new era under new owners, including former NFL legend Tom Brady in the St Andrew's stands.
