  1. 'Comfortable evening for Burnley'

    FT: Salford 0-4 Burnley

    Michael Brown

Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Vincent Kompany has some thinking to do he has a lot of players wanting an opportunity.

It was an extremely comfortable performance for Burnley we knew the amount of injuries Salford had and it was always going to be a difficult for them.

Burnley had experience and set-pieces were the key and that's where Salford let themselves down. Salford did show some heart when Burnley started to dip, but altogether it was an extremely comfortable evening for Burnley.

    Kompany applauds the supporters

  5. Post update

    FT: Salford 0-4 Burnley

    Emlyn Begley

    BBC Sport at Peninsula Stadium

A good night for Burnley and Vincent Kompany as they cruise through.

It's hard to know how much they can read into this against such limited opposition but as they go on the hunt again for a first Premier League win, some of tonight's players will hope they have put themselves in contention to start.

Most of the Salford fans who were sitting around me are long gone now.

  6. Post update

FT: Exeter City 1-0 Luton Town

    Brent Pilnick

BBC Sport at St James Park

Exeter City players celebrate with the fans after Demetri Mitchell scores

7,360 Exeter City fans can say 'I was there'.

Exeter held out at the end under all sorts of pressure, but in a funny way deserve the win.

History is made the League One side - what this will mean for Luton ahead of a key Premier League game at Everton we will gave to see....

  7. Post update

    Man Utd 3-0 Man Utd

    It's not happening for Palace!

  8. Post update

    Man Utd 3-0 Crystal Palace

Palace simply haven't shown up here. Man Utd have been really good, totally controlled. But the visitors, with seven changes, haven't tested them.

This is just meandering to a close.

Exeter celebrate their only goal of the evening
  12. FULL-TIME

    Ipswich Town 3-2 Wolves

Premier League Wolves were two goals up after 15 minutes and it looked to be an easy night.

SMS Message: This team looks so much more balanced without shoehorning Rashford in. Tough to say, as he's a United hero, but it's time for him to adapt for the team and improve his assist record, or become a very useful impact sub. from Tom

Five added minutes here, but this tie was done and dusted a long time ago.

    Lucas Akins

We could be heading for penalties. Mansfield have snatched a 93rd-minute equaliser with a calmly-taken penalty from substitute Lucas Akins.

Peterborough have won their first two ties in this cup via penalties, and they may need to go to a shootout again.

  20. FULL-TIME

    Bradford 0-2 Middlesbrough

Job done for Michael Carrick's side. A fairly comfortable night for Middlesbrough.

Emmanuel Latte Lath put them in front in the first half, Morgan Rogers added a second after the break and League Two Bradford couldn't find a way back.
