  1. Thank you and nos da

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

That's all for our coverage tonight as Wales suffer a second demoralising defeat in four days.

Their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 are not over - but they have taken a massive hit.

Robert Page's side are now fourth in Group D with four games left, already five points behind new leaders Turkey.

And with only one win in his past 12 games, what next for Page? His future will be the subject of serious scrutiny.

The fallout is bound to rumble on for some time but, for now, it's nos da and good night from us. Thanks for your company this evening.

  2. We all need a hug

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

I think we all need a hug after these last two games!

Rob Page, Head Coach of Wales, and Stefan Kuntz, Head Coach of Turkey, embrace
  3. 'Wales need a miracle'

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Iwan Roberts

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Cymru

I think we need a miracle to get to Euro 2024. It’s going to be so difficult after losing these last two games. It’s been a disappointing few days for the national team.

  4. 'They don't know what they're doing'

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Helen Ward

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Wales are not taking the responsibility on their own shoulders. They are just not in a position to do that, the games come thick and fast you don't have time to rebuild and try things out in friendlies anymore, it doesn't happen.

Wales have to go back to basics, they need to be tactically astute, difficult to beat using the strengths they do have like their pace.

Right now they're a team that doesn't really know what they are doing.

  5. Two reds in two games

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

Kieffer Moore and Joe Morrell reds
  6. 'Let's give ourselves a chance'

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

Former Wales assistant manager Osian Roberts tells S4C: "We’re in a period at the moment where we’re not where we want to be.

“Let’s make sure we get to the last game with a chance of qualifying.”

  7. 'It's not working'

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Nathan Blake

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Tactically Wales are under so much pressure you have to find a win from somewhere, each game you don't win, it becomes increasingly difficult for Rob Page.

Page and his team need to sit down and work out some ways of playing. At the moment it's not working, we are not picking up results and we're on the edge of not qualifying.

There is a lot to think about. What has been going on for the last 12 months or 6 months is just not working.

  8. How it stands in Group D

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Group D table
  9. 'Wales shot of confidence and belief'

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Helen Ward

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Wales were starting to get a foothold in the game and having possession higher up, it would have been interesting to see how the second half panned out had they had 11 players on the pitch.

It's difficult for Rob Page, he's not in control of those moments but it's not just him... the players have to look at themselves.

The whole group needs to look themselves, take this summer to get in form and build confidence.

At the moment it looks like a team shot of confidence and belief and that is not the Wales we are used to seeing in recent years.

  10. Turkey celebrate

    FT: Turkey 2-0 Wales

  11. FULL-TIME - Turkey 2-0 Wales

A second defeat in four days for Wales, who are now fourth in Group D with four games left.

Their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 are slipping away.

  12. Post update

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

Just over a minute left and Turkey have a corner. They take it short to keep possession.

Turkey are heading to the top of the group.

  13. Post update

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

Another two minutes until Wales are put out of their misery.

You can see the life has drained from them in this second half.

  14. Post update

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Five minutes added on.

  15. Post update

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Wales have a corner!

There's half an appeal for handball but the referee is not interested.

Ethan Ampadu loses possession and Turkey will have a goal kick as the clock strikes 90 minutes.

  16. Post update

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

Turkey are now enjoying an easy spell of keep-ball.

This is another demoralising evening for Wales.

  17. 'It is a difficult night for Rob Page'

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Helen Ward

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Tonight tactically has been better, more solid. Even with 10 players Wales did a lot of hard work, good shape just undone by a lapse of concentration.

It is so difficult to come away to a place like Turkey. It is hostile, it's humid, it's hot to play that long with 10 players. It was going to be a uphill battle.

It is a difficult night for Rob Page.

  18. Post update

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

Turkey are still pushing for another goal. It wouldn't flatter them if they doubled their tally from here.

You can't fault the effort of Wales' players but they've been outplayed again.

  19. SUBSTITUTION

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

A last throw of the dice for Wales.

Nathan Broadhead and Jordan James replace Aaron Ramsey and Harry Wilson.

  20. 'The one moment of quality'

    Turkey 2-0 Wales

    Nathan Blake

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

That is the one moment of quality we have seen is this game.

It's an absolutely fantastic finish, absolute postage stamp it is right in the top corner, right-hand side of the box, left-footed, bend with a bit of whip right in the one place you would want to place it with your hands if you could.

    Absolutely brilliant finish.
