    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Wales clear from one attack but, with a man fewer than their opponents, Robert Page's side have no outlet up front at the moment.

Orkun Kokcu has a long-range shot, but it's straight at Danny Ward.

Turkey are finishing this first half strongly.

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Cengiz Under has another go, this time a left-footed half-volley he lifts over the bar.

Wales are desperate for the half-time whistle.

  3. 'Morrell has taken one for the team'published at 20:33 British Summer Time 19 June 2023

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

    Helen Ward
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Wales need to stay strong and regroup.

That is a misstimed, poorly judged challenge from Morrell. He has almost taken one for the team there - it has come from Connor Roberts not being able to get the ball back in the box.

They need to try and keep themselves steady until half-time and then go from there.

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Cengiz Under has the game's first shot on target, cutting in from the right and curling an effort towards the far corner, which Danny Ward holds on to.

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

For the second game in succession, Wales are down to 10 men.

Kieffer Moore was sent off late on in Friday's defeat against Armenia, with the score already 4-2.

But now, with the game goalless, Wales must play an entire half - and a bit more - a man down.

  7. 'That is a dangerous tackle'published at 20:28 British Summer Time 19 June 2023

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

    Nathan Blake
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

It is hard to defend that, it is so high, that is a dangerous tackle no matter how you try to dress it up.

That has absolutely swung this game in Turkey's favour.

  8. RED CARD - Joe Morrellpublished at 41 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Wilson takes the corner as well but it's well defended as Turkey clear.

Then, out of nowhere, Joe Morrell is sent off!

The Wales midfielder lunges at Ferdi Kadioglu, studs showing, and his foot plants into the Turkish player's thigh.

It's an ugly challenge and Wales have a mountain to climb now.

After a slight delay, Wilson does shoot and it hits the Turkey wall, deflecting out for a corner.

  10. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Wales enjoy their best spell of possession so far in the Turkish final third.

That phase of neat passing eventually breaks down but a foul on Ethan Ampadu gives Wales a free-kick 30 yards out.

Might Harry Wilson shoot from here? We've seen him score some belters in the past.

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Last time Wales played in Turkey, by this point in the game it was 3-3.

These two sides have a little under an hour to score 10 goals between them, as was the case in 1997 when Turkey won 6-4.

  12. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Turkey come forward again but Kerem Akturkogly's shot is rubbish and sails way over the bar.

  13. 'Brennan Johnson is such a threat'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 19 June 2023

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

    Helen Ward
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Brennan Johnson hasn't been happy since very early on, which is a shame.

He can be such a threat, that one moment you need some pace on the counter attack and some quality in front of goal you would naturally look to him.

  14. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Baris Alper Yilmaz glides towards the Wales box and crosses from the left but it's cleared by Chris Mepham.

Turkey have not been as threatening as they were in the opening 10 minutes but a little warning there.

  15. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Brennan Johnson is back on! His ankle is heavily strapped.

Could this be the greatest comeback in Turkey since Liverpool's revival in the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul?

  16. 'Wales have managed the game pretty well'published at 20:16 British Summer Time 19 June 2023

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

    Nathan Blake
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Since the disallowed goal Wales have managed the game pretty well - no open chances, they aren't trying to play fast when Danny Ward has got the ball.

The longer the game goes on the more pressure Turkey will feel to get a goal.

That is when you counter-attack and exploit spaces in behind.

  17. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Wales are going to play with 10 men for now.

Johnson is getting some heavy strapping applied to his ankle.

  18. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Brennan Johnson is down again for Wales. It looks like he'll have to come off after all, which is a real shame.

  19. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Roma's Zeki Celik is back on the front foot for Turkey but has a cross blocked by Neco Williams.

After a nervy start, Williams seems to be settling now.

  20. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Turkey 0-0 Wales

Brennan Johnson is in pain again. This is not good for Wales.

The Nottingham Forest forward takes a heavy touch and, in trying to make amends, clatters into Kerem Akturkogly.

    Johnson is down receiving treatment.
