Former England forward on ITV
I think we've just got to be mindful of a few things. We've got to be aware of teams at the World Cup who might break in behind.
A better team capitalises on that space [Portugal created].

Looks like Alessia Russo, Niamh Charles and Chloe Kelly are coming on.

The teams are on their way back out. Changes for England.

I think it was a really good start from England, lots of energy and directness and lots of confidence. I think the back-four settled in really well and l[they've had] lots of chances but not scored.
I would be a little disappointed if I was Sarina Wiegman.

Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
England started brightly but by the time the first half was coming to an end, there was a lot of heavy breathing.
They had that break, but they needed it. They have a big squad and plenty of players who can come on, and have the next game against Canada before the World Cup too.

I think we are seeing some frustration creeping in from the Lionesses.
Portugal are well versed in gamesmanship. That's another thing the Lionesses are going to have to face.

Credit to Portugal who have made it tough for England to play centrally and have kept them out wide. Goalkeeper Ines Pereira has done well but England definitely need more energy and unpredictability in the second half. I wouldn't be surprised to see Alessia Russo and Chloe Kelly introduced soon. Both have been out warming up with the rest of the substitutes.
England 0-0 Puortugal
Georgia Stanway goes so close to breaking the deadlock right at the end of the half after a cross by Lauren Hemp catches the Portuguese defence off-guard. It comes off Stanway and onto the bar.
It's a frustrating end to a frustrating half for the Lionesses.
England 0-0 Portugal
A rare touch for Mary Earps who has still not had a save to make.
By the way, she's wearing a rainbow coloured captain's armband.
England 0-0 Portugal
You cannot knock Rachel Daly for confidence. She has no intention of passing despite being surrounded by a couple of Portuguese players but her attempt is blocked.

You saw those two early headed opportunities from Rachel Daly. The first one in particular was difficult to get down to.
Portugal seem to struggle aerially though, so England will have seen that and be firing more crosses in the box.
England 0-0 Portugal
Alex Greenwood attempts a looping cross into the box but mis-hits it and it lands on the roof of the net. By the way, Rachel Daly earlier attempted an ambitious overhead kick but it failed to trouble the keeper.

Lucy Bronze and Lauren James have built a nice relationship off the pitch in recent weeks, with Bronze seemingly taking her under her wing.
That is clearly translating on the pitch because those two have linked up nicely so far. Usually Chloe Kelly and Lauren Hemp switch sides fluidly but so far James has stayed on the right, presumably to keep that link-up with Bronze.
England 0-0 Portugal
An England free-kick midway inside the Portugal half. Groans from the fans as it does not clear the first opponent. It's just not clicking for Sarina Wiegman's players.
England 0-0 Portugal
Lauren James gets a lecture from the referee after catching Dolores Silva. It looks accidental but England's frustrating first half continues.
England 0-0 Portugal
A clearance by Jess Carter from inside her own box during a rare Portuguese attack.
No attempts on target by the visitors so far - it's been a quiet game so far for Mary Earps.

It's her presence. In all seriousness, Mary Earps' presence will maintain the back-four's height.
Her ability to be there and continue to distribute is a wildly underrated skill for a goalkeeper.
England 0-0 Portugal
It's worth noting England have only one more game after this - a behind-closed-doors friendly with Canada in Australia - before their opening World Cup game.

Esme Morgan does fantastically well and does what she needs to do there, but I think Silva did let her off the hook a little bit.
I think Silva could have carried on. If she'd carried on I think she could have won it.
