    Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermline

Opening goalscorer Lewis McCann has a shot at goal from the edge of the area that is blocked away as the game opens up into an end-to-end affair.

Around 25 minutes left and a goal seems likely.

Unless I've just jinxed it, sorry!

Another Gullan ball is flashed in and this time, Josh Mullian is placed perfectly to connect.

    And then he doesn't...

The ball inexplicably just flashes across in front of him mere yards from goal. He should have just had a hit at it from there.

    Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermline

Raith Rovers take their turn at missing a close-ranger chance this time.

Gullan fires a ball across goal after a lovely first touch but Lewis Vaughn can't quite get there in time as flicks it high over the bar.

    Wighton should be scoring again.

And again he fails to properly connect with a header at the back post.

A huge let-off for Raith Rovers.

    Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermline

Dunfermline have been the best team since the restart.

A slick pass from Todd almost finds the intended target at the back post as they continue to impose themselves on the game.

    Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermline

Craig Wighton mistimes his header when he should be converting for the visitors.

He gets up well be arrives a tad late and lacks any real conviction to properly connect with the cross.

    Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermline

Nearly a costly mistake from Raith Rovers Dylan Corr.

It looks as if he's either ducked out the way off a backwards pass or went to stoop and flick it back to the keeper.

Either way, he nearly allowed the lurking Dunfermline striker to have a shot but he admittedly recovers well to stop the chance from developing on the edge of the area.

When you're on top and you're not taking take your chances the other team dig in and that's what happened with Dunfermline's goal. McCann took it brilliantly.

Then it was up to Raith Rovers to put all their good football and link-up play into operation and it worked a treat. That wee dink from Dylan Easton was terrific.

  11. HALF-TIME Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermlinepublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 15 July 2023

What a half. End-to-end stuff with the scores fittingly level at the interval.

Despite the entertaining football, clear chances were seldom seen.

Two moments of real quality at either end from Lewis McCann and Dylan Easton lit up the game with two tremendous goals.

    Raith Rovers 1-1 Dunfermline

A Raith Rovers corner is well-defended and Raith get a second chance to whip in a dead ball.

Easily held by Mehmet but both sides have a renewed sense of attacking impetus after that equaliser.

    Sensational!

Easton latches on to a bouncing ball at the edge of the box, he glides into the area and dinks it over the keeper.

What a way to level it.

    Raith Rovers 0-1 Dunfermline

    It should be 2-0.

McCann cuts it back to Matthew Todd but his strike is too central and held by Kevin Dabrowski.

It's been all Dunfermline since their opener.

  16. goal

GOAL Raith Rovers 0-1 DUNFERMLINEpublished at 28 mins

    Lewis McCann

Just moments after a freekick went narrowly over the bar he makes it 1-0.

He comes in from the touchline and drifts in between two defenders on the edge of the box, knowing they can't commit or it'll be a penalty.

He drills his strike low and hard under the keeper.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 26 mins

    Raith Rovers 0-0 Dunfermline

Jamie Gullan cracks the bar with a free-kick.

Inches away from opening the scoring, what a strike it was too.

That's both sides hit the woodwork now. Time to hit one the other side of it.

  18. Postpublished at 21 minutes

    Raith Rovers 0-0 Dunfermline

That fast-paced start has thrown the game off now it feels.

Plenty of action but it's definitely a step down from that opening 5 minutes or so.

Some decent, patient play for Dunfermline but no real sight at goal again yet.

  19. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Raith Rovers 0-0 Dunfermline

Jamie Gullan has an audacious attempt at goal with his first touch, on the end of a Scott McGill cross.

It may not have been entirely meant but had it gone in it would have been sensational.

A high boot on the spin to meet the ball on the edge of the box but it is far too soft to trouble the keeper.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 10 mins

    Raith Rovers 0-0 Dunfermline

    So, so close for Dunfermline.

Aaron Comrie skipped down the right-hand side and his low cross slipped under the defender's foot.

Josh Edwards' strike ultimately rattled the outside of the post.
