While van Egmond offers some threat in the air, the absence of Sam Kerr for Australia is still huge.

You don't fancy them as much of an aerial threat without her in the box, their crosses aren't as effective.

The Super Falcons are flying! Asisat Oshoala, what an impact she’s had!

She forced the corner that got Nigeria the second and just over 10 minutes on the pitch is all she’s needed to get on the scoresheet.

A five time African player of the year, the Barça star has arrived at this World Cup showing her guile and excellent finishing to get a Nigerian third.

The co-hosts are in big, big trouble!

That perfectly sums up the fear that Oshoala brings, she makes opposing players hesitate.

Does Arnold really need to steam out when Kennedy is dealing with it? Arnold's indecision opens up the goal for Oshoala.

Kennedy needs to do better, she needs to make the decision to either head it or put her foot through it, but she does neither!

Mackenzie Arnold finds herself in no-man's land as she runs out to clear a ball over the top which has found substitute Asisat Oshoala.

It's a tough angle for the Barcelona forward but she makes it, despite the efforts of Arnold and Alanna Kennedy to clear their lines.

It's a long way back for Australia.

You can't say that Nigeria don't deserve it.

They've been a presence in the box in the second half.

The is no risk of offside from the second phase against Ajibade, she is clearly onside, and it is the follow up at the back post from Ohale that makes the difference.

Nigeria, against the run of play, have found the back of the net.

Australia just couldn't clear their lines there as Rasheedat Ajibade heads the ball down and across the face of goal for Osinachi Ohale to run it into the net.

Australia's first corner of the second-half is punched tamely away Chiamaka Nnadozie before Nigeria push further up the pitch.

A great flourish to a first half that looked like it was very much going the way of Australia. But the Super Falcons have already shown in this tournament the brilliant resilience that they have.

This game is anyone’s for the taking.

The home fans will certainly be giving the Matildas a Brisbane roar that’s for sure and that could tip it. There’s a lot of talent on both benches, one of them could be a heroine in this second 45.

Australia need to stay switched on - a lapse in concentration allowed the quality of Nigeria to launch an explosive break and that is what undid them.

They have to try to start again, as if it is the beginning of the game, and put the pressure on Nigeria, put them on the back foot.

They have the pedigree up top to win this game.

    HT: Australia 1-1 Nigeria

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

Nigeria need to go for it in the second half.

If they lose this game they've only got one point on the board and the odds will be stacked against them to be able to qualify out of this group.

Not too much was wrong in their approach, but they just have to be sharp when they get those opportunities at the top end of the pitch.
