Wang Shuang's spot-kick was the difference, but Haiti will definitely feel aggrieved at some of those late penalty shouts.

For China, a win over England on Tuesday would ensure they continue their record of making the knockout rounds in every World Cup they have played in.

Even a draw or defeat might be enough for the Steel Roses, but that all depends on how Denmark and Haiti get on against each other, with both of them also able to qualify.

I think VAR went to sleep a little bit at the end.

You see the challenge on Dumornay, she gets the touch on the ball and the defender just goes through her, no intent to play the ball.

The one after it was a bit more dubious, the player is caught by the China defender's arm but it was more of a coming together.

The Dumornay one was a nailed on penalty though.

The Haiti players look completely dejected. They gave it all they could in injury time.

But, it's not over for the Caribbean side just yet. They could still make it to the knockout rounds if they beat Denmark on Tuesday and England defeat China. Even then it would come down to goal difference.

It's a tough ask, but as manager Nicolas Delepine said before this match, "anything is possible".

Theo: What on earth has happened with the penalties or non penalties in this match? VAR have missed a cut and dry penalty for Haiti!

It's all over.

What a dramatic end. Haiti just couldn't find an answer, but I think they will feel hard done by for a couple of those penalty decsions.

China needed that. A defeat tonight would have spelled the end of their World Cup journey.

I can't believe it, that should be a penalty.

I don't understand how VAR didn't call a penalty for Haiti for that earlier challenge. No attempt to play the ball.

Now it's Kethna Louis down in China's box. Is that a penalty?

Louis is still down injured and it looks like the referee is running over to the monitor.

But, no. It's a yellow card for Haiti manager Nicolas Delepine, who is complaining that his side haven't been given a spot-kick.

There's another penalty appeal for Haiti. Melchie Dumornay goes down in the area.

But it's waved away by the referee and there's no VAR check.

Haiti have a corner. Can they get something from it?

No. It's hit towards the back post and it's headed out for a China goal-kick, which I am sure Zhu Yu will take her time over.

Nerilia Mondesir holds off two Chinese defenders but her shot is fired straight across the face of goal and wide.

They won't get many chances better than that.

That's six minutes of added time gone. Haiti are really pushing for an equaliser here but they are struggling to get into China's penalty area with the Steel Roses digging deep and putting everyone behind the ball.

It's a strange one.

Initially the decision was a bit soft, not enough in it for me to give a penalty.

But once it has been given, you can't put your hands on a player like that in the box, so there isn't enough to overturn it on VAR.

No penalty. Referee Marta Huerta de Aza reverses her decision after reviewing the replay.

It seems harsh on Haiti.

Haiti have a penalty. Roseline Eloissaint is brought down by Wu Chengshu.

BUT... the referee is going to the monitor.

There's still plenty of time left for Haiti to get a goal. There will be a minimum of nine added minutes. NINE.

China's Zhang Linyan, who won the all-important penalty, is taken off for Tang Jiali.

Haiti are also making a change. They bring on Shwendesky Joseph for Sherly Jeudy.

Haiti are pumping the ball forward but there aren't enough bodies in the penalty area.

They're pushing players forward, but it's leaving them very open at the back and the Steel Roses look dangerous on the counter.

If I were the China coach I would be asking my player why they took the shot on there.

One nil up with seven minutes to go, just run the ball into the corner or recycle the possession.
