  1. Follow the Lionesses' match with China

    China v England (12:00 BST)

Thanks all, we're bringing our Group E coverage to an end now.

But stick with us for build-up to England's match with China and Haiti's game with Denmark (both at 12:00 BST).

Build-up to those matches has just got under way on our dedicated live page.

    See you there!

  2. 'The small teams getting better is amazing for women's football'

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Vicky Losada

Former Spain midfielder on ITV 1

I think Portugal's style was one of the worst to play against for USA. Sweden is a bit similar to them.

They need to analyse, bring their confidence up.

It's great to see how the tournament is changing, how the small teams are getting better and I think it's amazing for women's football in general.

  3. Post update

In the next round the USA will face the Group G winners - which will almost certainly be Sweden.

In the last 16 the Netherlands will play the Group G runners-up. Italy are currently second in that group.

  4. 'It's tough to be second'

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

USA co-captain Alex Morgan speaking after the match to ITV1:

On finishing second in the group: "It's tough to be second, we wanted to go through first. This team gave everything, we just didn't put the ball in the back of the net.

"Players came in and helped the team. It's not the result we wanted but we move forward.

It's just not going in the back of the net, we got so many corners, so many opportunities but just so unlucky."

  5. Post update

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Portugal player after full-time

Portugal end their first World Cup campaign with a clean sheet from two of their three games.

Only Switzerland and Japan (both with three) have more in this summer's competition.

  6. Post update

    FT: Vietnam 0-7 Netherlands

    Emma Byrne

    Former Ireland goalkeeper on ITV4

It is hard to believe the Netherlands made their World Cup debut in 2015.

They've come a long way in a short time.

  7. Post update

    FT: Vietnam 0-7 Netherlands

Earlier I said Esmee Brugt's stunning curler should be a Puskas Award nominee.

Agree with me? It's very good strike.

  8. 'USA are not flowing'

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Kim Little

    Former Scotland midfielder on ITV1

The USA are not flowing or connecting. Rapinoe made a slight difference when she came on but generally their substitutions didn't make an impact.

Going forward into the knockout rounds, that needs to be looked at.

  9. Post update

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    United States

United States are now undefeated in their last 18 games at the World Cup, their longest unbeaten streak in the competition.

For a brief moment in stoppage time it looked like that run was coming to an end.

  10. 'I enjoyed watching Portugal'

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Kim Little

    Former Scotland midfielder on ITV1

It is unusual for the USA to be in this position and credit to Portugal for their performance.

They tired a little in the second half and they got the chance at the end.

    I really enjoyed watching them.

  11. 'You can see USA's frustration'

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Vicky Losada

Former Spain midfielder on ITV 1

USA are not being clinical. You can see the frustration on their faces. Not clinical enough.

We are used to seeing Alex Morgan scoring those goals.

  12. 'Credit to Portugal'

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Vicky Losada

Former Spain midfielder on ITV 1

That was very very close. We have to give credit to Portugal, they have to be proud of their performance. Instinct from Ana Capeta and it bounced off the post.

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States
  13. Group E table

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

    Group E

Group E finishes with the Netherlands advancing as winners.

What an effort from Portugal in their first ever World Cup.

  14. Post update

    FT: Portugal 0-0 United States

This is how close the defending champions were to going out in the group stages.

    Portugal 0-0 United States
  15. FULL-TIME

    Portugal 0-0 United States

    It's all over!

The USA stumble into the last 16, saved by the post.

    Portugal are out.

  16. Post update

    Portugal 0-0 United States

We've played the eight minutes of stoppage time. Still we go on.

  17. FULL-TIME

    Vietnam 0-7 Netherlands

All over. The Netherlands go through as group winners.

  18. Post update

    Portugal 0-0 United States

Sixty seconds. USA have a throw.

  19. Post update

    Portugal 0-0 United States

    Lucy Ward

    Former Leeds striker on ITV1

USA are stuttering towards the finish line in these group stages.

  20. Post update

    Portugal 0-0 United States

Those changes ate up a lot of time. Ninety seconds remain.
