Killmarnock are enjoying most of the possession so far.

What I would say about Raith is they look rushed. They need to show composure when they win the ball back and make a couple of passes.

  8. Dream still alive for Spartanspublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 26 July 2023

    Peterhead v Spartans (19:45)

SPFL newcomers Spartans are still dreaming of progression.

A memorable opening group win over Dundee United was followed up with defeat to Falkirk, but a win at bottom-side Peterhead would keep their hopes alive.

Tonight's hosts have no chance of progressing, but they will be aiming to get into winning habits with a League 2 campaign fast approaching.

  9. Only a win will do for Dundeepublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 26 July 2023

Dundee's defeat in Airdrie on Saturday has left them with a lot of work to do.

Tony Docherty's men are a place and two points behind tonight's second-placed visitors Dumbarton.

A victory will move them above the fourth-tier side and three points off leaders Airdrieonians.

Only a win will do for Docherty.

  11. Can County solidify top spot?published at 19:29 British Summer Time 26 July 2023

Edinburgh City v Ross County (19:45)

Top-flight County can solidify first place in Group D with a win in the capital tonight.

As it stands, they are top of their section on goal difference and have a game in hand over Morton (second) and Kelty Hearts (third).

Victory this evening over Edinburgh City, who are bottom with zero points, will put the Highlanders three clear at the top.

A big night for Malky Mackay's men, who welcome Kelty on Saturday.

  12. Vassell absence 'nothing to worry about' - McInnespublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 26 July 2023

    Kilmarnock v Raith Rovers (19:45)

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "We should be motivated to win cup games, at home especially we should want to follow up the Dunfermline win with another strong performance.

"It'll need to be a strong performance to beat a talented Raith team. They've got a lot of confident players. We'll really have to work hard tonight."

On the absence of Kyle Vassell, McInnes says the striker "felt an irritation in his thigh" but it is "nothing to worry about".

  13. Coverage from Kilmarnock on the waypublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 26 July 2023

    Kilmarnock v Raith Rovers (19:45)

Tonight's live commentary on Sportsound comes from Ayrshire as Kilmarnock host Raith Rovers in Group F.

Victory for Derek McInnes' men will extend their 100% win record and secure top spot with a game to spare.

But a three points for second-tier Raith, who are two off tonight's hosts, at Rugby Park will make things very interesting heading into the final set of fixtures on Saturday.
