Louis Moult...he's man of the match already and it's halftime!

He looks sensational, he looks sharp, he looks hungry.

He's been at the heart of everything.

  3. HALF-TIME Arbroath 0-4 Dundee Unitedpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 4 August 2023

The SPFL is well and truly back! Dundee United might just be back too.

Middleton's low strike opened the scoring after Arbroath's Balde surrendered possession in bizarre fashion in the middle of the park.

Their second came from a smart dink by Cudjoe after a sensational Moult pass set him free before Sibbald got on the end of a flick-on that also came from Moult.

Who assisted Middleton's opener, you ask? Louis Moult. Looking like a decent signing so far.

Oh, aye, he then decided to add his name to the scoresheet at the very end of the half thanks to a precision pass from Cudjoe and a venomous shot back across goal.

Just what scoreline is this game going to finish with?

That opener has been coming since the whistle blew…what a counter-attack.

Already I’ve counted five errors from Joao Balde and from a mile off you could sense he might play a part in a United goal.

I’m unfortunately perched right behind the Arbroath dugout and they’re raging.

Dick Campbell has already trotted down from his seat on to the touchline…far from the start he wanted.
