It's wave after wave of Arsenal attacks and it is going to seem a long 15 minutes or so for the Villa players, managerial staff and fans.

Daphne van Domselaar is on the ground and Arsenal use it as an opportunity to gather and receive some instructions as a team.

Is it going to be one of those days for Arsenal? Superb work from Caitlin Foord to spin away from her marker and shoot across goal, only for the ball to rebound off the inside of the post and come back out.

What a chance for Alessia Russo too and a first-time volley would surely have been a goal, but the touch gives Daphne van Domselaar a chance and she does superbly to bravely dive at Russo's feet and save a certain equaliser.

That's the first time Arsenal have breached the Villa defence, who had previously been excellent in this second half.

15 minutes to go plus injury time. The home fans are starting to get a bit nervous. Is it set up for Beth Mead to come off the bench and make a crucial impact in what would be her first competitive match since November?

A warm reception inside the Emirates as Jordan Nobbs comes on for Aston Villa.

Nobbs - who spent 12 seasons at Arsenal - replaces Simone Magill.

Aston Villa go forwards after being rooted into their own half.

The ball is played to Simone Magill in the box but her effort is blocked by Lotte Wubben-Moy.

Cloe Lacasse passes to Alessia Russo, who is in behind the Aston Villa defence, but she is offside.

Apart from the scramble away moments ago, van Domselaar has not had a tough save to make.

It is all just balls into the box and speculative shots from Arsenal, the Villa keeper has been comfortable.

Katie McCabe spots Cloe Lacasse and unleashes her out wide, but the ball bobbles into Lacasse's hand.

There are 35,829 fans in attendance at Emirates Stadium today.

What a save this is!

Little, who has moved higher since the changes, threads a wonderful ball through to Foord. She then rolls the defender and fires a shot across goal.

The rebound off the post seems to fall perfectly to Russo but van Domselaar is quickest to react and nicks the ball away from her toes.

Brave and decisive goalkeeping there.

Maanum has barely had a kick in this second half, and Russo is doing all the running up there, very little service and support.

Pelova and Lacasse will certainly add some much needed urgency and energy in there.
