    FT: Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

Chelsea were on top for the majority of that match and if not for Brighton keeper Sophie Baggaley in the first half they could have scored several more.

They had 30 attempts in the game, the highest of any team in a single match so far this season.

Sjoeke Nusken was unlucky not to be awarded the hat-trick with Guro Bergsvand credited for Chelsea's third goal but her two strikes plus the one from Aggie Beever-Jones mean Chelsea are undefeated in 11 WSL matches.

On the other side of the coin, that loss extends Brighton's losing streak to three games this season.

    That will be that!

Pure chaos at times but three points on the board for Chelsea, who were made to work for it.

    Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

We're into five minutes of added time. I have a feeling Emma Hayes will be absolutely fuming with that second Brighton goal.

Her side have just switched off slightly in these late stages.

GOAL - Chelsea 4-2 Brightonpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 22 October 2023

    Elisabeth Terland (90 mins)

    The chaos continues!

The substitutes combine as Maisie Symonds picks up on the edge of the area, plays it out wide to Elisabeth Terland who finishes really well.

Surely a consolation at this point but a confidence boost nonetheless.

    Woops.

Jess Carter caught in possession there but Ann-Katrin Berger spares Carter's blushes with a low save down to her right from Veatriki Sarri's effort.

Taylor Hinds finds Ceri Holland again and she is so unlucky not to score.

    Chelsea 4-1 Brighton

Around four minutes plus added time to go at Kingsmeadow and it has all just ran away from Brighton this half.

Some chaotic, last ditch defending in the first half has clearly sapped the energy from them and they haven't been able to keep it up in this second period.

    Aggie Beever-Jones (82 mins)

    And now it is four!

Well she has only just got on the pitch but Aggie Beever-Jones puts Chelsea out of sight as Sjoeke Nusken squares across and finds Beever-Jones completely unmarked in the middle of the penalty area.

That all came from Brighton attempting to play out from the back.
