For a second Liverpool think they have a second but Virgil van Dijk's header is disallowed for something or other.
Karlsruher 0-1 Liverpool
Mohamed Salah does very well to keep in a crossfield ball. Jurgen Klopp, in a comfortable looking shorts and a t-shirt, applauds it. Holiday beach bar vibes.
Karlsruher 0-1 Liverpool
Karlsruher head the corner out but it's instantly back in Liverpool's possession again.
Karlsruher 0-1 Liverpool
Bright start for the Reds. Plenty of pressing and Mohamed Salah wins a corner.

Good start to life in the number nine shirt for Darwin Nunez. Roberto Firmino left the number available when he headed off to Saudi Arabia.
Darwin Nunez
Ideally start to pre-season for Liverpool.
Darwin Nunez runs onto a Mohamed Salah ball and unselfishly tries to cut it back to the Egyptian. He gets the ball wrong but it comes back to him and this time he slots in.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, still at number 66, is in the midfield role he finished last season in. I almost didn't recognise him with shorter hair.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson will not be taking part in the side’s pre-season game against Karlsruher SC later on amid question marks about his future.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, who are now managed by ex-Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard.
Henderson travelled with the rest of the Reds squad to their training camp in Germany last Saturday but will not be involved when Liverpool kick-off their first game of pre-season at 17:30 BST.
Fabinho will also be missing after he did not travel following the Anfield club receiving a £40m for the Brazil international from Al-Ittihad last Friday.
There's been a few transfers today. Click each one to read more. If you want that is. I'm not asking you to click on all of them.

Two young lads - they look about 13 -have just run onto the Murrayfield pitch before being collared by security - as the United players do a lap of honour to thank the fans.
A third, rather larger, gentleman is also apprehended before he can get near the United players.
Strange way to finish an otherwise satisfactory outing for United..
