It's been a solid performance from Albion.

They've dealt with Leeds very, very well and going forward, they attacked with some pace and got a few dangerous balls across the six yard box.

Obviously they need to keep going and find that goal but the manager will be well pleased.

Nothing between the two sides at the interval.

To be totally honest with you, as I always am, it's been a half of few chances.

The home side came closest to breaking the deadlock when Jamie Shackleton's deflected effort struck the post and Alex Palmer made a sharp save from a Dan James shot that also took a nick off a Baggies defender.

West Brom have carried a threat from crosses into the box but nothing doing so far.

Leeds have now failed to score in the first half of all four games they played in league and cup.

Former Leeds centre-half on BBC Radio Leeds

As soon as they lose the ball, West Brom are into a very tight defensive shape.

Five at the back, plenty of bodies behind the ball and saying 'Ok, come on, break us down'.

A lot of teams are going to come to Elland Road this season and play like this.

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

The away side win a corner after another bright foray forward from Darnell Furlong.

The home side clear the initial corner and then look to launch a counter attack.

  6. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

Have seen next to nothing from home striker Giorginio Rutter thus far.

He was signed for big money in January from Hoffenheim to help get the goals to keep Leeds up but it's not worked out to date.

This is his 13th league appearance and just his second start. He's yet to score.

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

Crosses into the box are the away side's main threats this evening.

Matty Phillips does well to wriggle away down the Albion left and hits a great deep cross for Darnell Furlong.

He looks for all the world like he's going to volley home at the back stick but it bounces off him and goes harmlessly wide.

Dan James definitely having his best half of the season so far.

You can see the smile coming back to him.

More good play from the hosts.

They pinch it back high up and Dan James finds Luke Ayling marauding forward from right-back.

He looks to cross for Joe Gelhardt in the middle but he can't quite make a solid connection with his shot.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 29 mins

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

That's our third yellow of the game.

    Once again it's absolutely blatant.

West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby has his pocket picked by Dan James on the halfway line as he looks to take time he simply does not have.

The Irishman drags the Welshman back and that's a booking.

Twice very lucky to get away with it.

Leeds all of a sudden are piling pressure on Albion.

The visitors just need to stay calm.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 26 mins

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

Leeds so close to the opener!

The home side move the ball well to open some space up and Jamie Shackleton tries his arm from 25 yards.

It takes a big deflection off Cedric Kipre and thunders off the foot of the post.

From the corner that comes from that Pascal Struijk gets a volley away at the back post that's blocked.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke issues instructions from the touchlineImage source, Rex Features

Leeds manager Daniel Farke is yet to see his side score a first half goal in their three matches so far this season.

He'd love one to set them on their way here tonight but it's the away side who are shading it at present.

Slacky, Portsmouth: Am excited for Archie Gray and Ethan Ampadu, good young talent to really cherish so far for Leeds. Keep them fit and hungry and hopefully that filters through to the rest of the squad.

Gray is the great-nephew of Leeds United legend Eddie Gray and the 17-year-old looks an outstanding prospect.

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

The away side have their tails up now.

Darnell Furlong gets forward well from right wing-back and hammers a dangerous cross to the near post.

The home side manage to get it away from danger but as much by luck as judgement.

  16. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

Replays show there was a deflection on that Dan James shot a minute ago.

Really smart save from Albion goalie Alex Palmer to get down to that.

Up the other end, the Baggies threaten for the first time as Matty Phillips looks to find Brandon Thomas-Asante flying in at the back stick but it's just too high.

  17. Postpublished at 16 mins

First real chance for the home side.

Dan James hits a fine low shot that draws a decent stop from Alex Palmer in the Baggies goal.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14 mins

    Leeds 0-0 West Brom

    So silly.

Joe Gelhardt is in the book for stopping West Brom playing a quick free kick on the halfway line.

Luke Ayling on this right hand side makes these late runs every time and the Albion back line have really got to keep him in their eyesight.

He makes those runs more than anyone I've seen from that position.

  20. Postpublished at 13 mins

Great atmosphere inside Elland Road this evening.

The home fans haven't seen their side win a league match since 4 April but they're getting behind their team tonight and the Whites have responded with a bright start.
