    FT: Watford 0-1 Blackburn

With August's 'sunshine' passing into the autumnal tones of September, the Championship season is well and truly up and running.

Blackburn's fortunes look a little rosier now after this display, which took concentration and focus, as well as a little touch of quality from Ryan Hedges.

Watford might feel like they're under a little cloud at the moment, but it is still early days, and there were plenty of positives about this display for the most part barring the result.

We'll be back with more EFL action next weekend, with a bumper Saturday programme.

Until then, have a great Bank Holiday. Goodbye.

The worst start to a season for Watford then in 12 years, as they slip to back-to-back defeats. Still early days though, and more will be hoped for from striker Mileta Rajovic.

As for Blackburn, Jon Dahl Tomasson hasn't given up on the hope of new arrivals bolstering his squad, but the team he's got for now have shown plenty of character this afternoon.
