Harry Kane on his family seeing him make his debut: "Everyone was here [at the stadium] last night, my wife Kate, all the kids, her family, my mum, dad and brother. I brought all of them over, I wanted them to share this experience with me.

"It was amazing for them to see the reaction and response I got when I came on the pitch. They are all extremely proud of me and what I have achieved in my career so I try and share as many experiences as I can with them and last night will be one that we will all remember forever."

Harry Kane on whether his transfer could encourage other English players to move to the Bundesliga: "I know that players in general will look at this transfer and see how I get on and see the response in the country. So far it has been a great reception.

"Me moving here might push other players to think about that themselves. It's about improving. That's my mindset and I think it should be the mindset of any young player growing up.

"Once you get comfortable in a place and are on the same road, it's time to try another level and find another way to get better and that's what I've done by coming here."

Harry Kane on what he would consider to be a success at Bayern Munich: "Bayern have won the Bundesliga many times in a row but still the pressure of having to win it the next season is there. For me it's to try and win every title we have this season. That's the expectation of Bayern Munich.

"That's the reality and the targets they want to set and I think they're achievable so my job is to try and help make that happen.

"If we get to the end of the season and we haven't won every trophy, the club will be a little disappointed but we know it's going to be very tough to achieve as well so we aren't taking anything for granted.

"This is my first time here so I just want to push the team to win the title and win the cup and try and win the Champions League as well."

Harry Kane on saying goodbye to Spurs: "I didn't get chance to properly. I sent the players a text to say I was leaving, but I will go and do it properly when I can."

Harry Kane on his emotions about making his debut: "It was just amazing to see the reception that I got [when he came on for his debut at Allianz Arena]. Walking out before the game and hearing the fans first and foremost.

"They started to sing my name and give me the round of applause. The game wasn't going so well and I came on in the 60th minute.

"It was unfortunate that we gave away the penalty so quickly after I came on because it really killed the momentum of the game because ultimately I wanted to come and win here last night. The whole team wanted tow in but that wasn't the case.

"There's no time to panic, there's a long season ahead. I'm just excited now to settle down after these few days of training, get to know the team even more and try and help them. Overall, all I can say is thank you to the fans and everyone at Bayern Munich for the amazing reception. Hopefully I can give them some reasons to cheer over the season."

Harry Kane on whether he is a leader: "I think so. I think it is just my personality to try and push the players around me. I can bring that attribute; the manager said that was one of the reasons he brought me in.

"I need to get to know the team, but I'll be myself and that is naturally a leader."

Harry Kane on his price tag and the perception in England: "I've not had time to see how it has played out. You feel a responsibility whenever someone pays such a big fee for you. I do my best talking on the pitch and that's what I'll do. They paid the money to achieve big things and we are on the same path with that."

Harry Kane on his family adapting to the move to Bayern Munich: "Two days ago I was sitting with them in London, didn't quite know which way it was going to go. The kids don't know too much.

"They were here yesterday and for them it probably feel like a vacation but we're not quite sure yet, I need to find properties so we're not sure how that will work yet but I'm sure they'll be fine, they're young enough to embrace everything.

"Even with my wife [Kate], she was very supportive. She wants the best for me and the best for my career so just said to push so she wants me to be happy and playing so that's why we all made this decision together.

"We're just really happy that we're here now so we've got a few things to sort out and we'll take that in our stride."

Harry Kane on whether David Beckham moving to Real Madrid in 2003 was an influence on his decision: "I remember that and how big it was. It is no secret I was a bid David Beckham fan when I was younger. I didn't want to get to the end of my career with regrets at not experiencing different leagues and cultures.

"My family were fully behind me and we made the best decision. We have stuff to sort out but I'm sure everything will be."

Harry Kane on what England boss Gareth Southgate said about his move to Bayern Munich: "Gareth sent me a text yesterday congratulating me and said that he would give me a call next week once things calm down a little bit.

"He'll be excited. He knows his striker for England is playing at the highest level and that can only help the national team."

Harry Kane on meeting Thomas Muller: "I met Thomas yesterday and he was full of energy and welcomed me well. He's already asked me for a game of golf so I'm sure we'll organise that soon.

"He's proven year on year what a great player he is. I think he's one of the biggest leaders in this team from what I've seen so far so I look forward to playing with him.

"I think we can compliment each other very well. He scores and assists and so do I. I'm excited to play with these sort of players and I'm sure Thomas and I will get to know each other quite well over the next period."

Harry Kane on making the decision to leave Spurs: "It was always going to be a tough decision. I was at Tottenham for 19 years of my life; the club is connected with me. Ultimately, I'm a professional, I've always pushed myself to my limits and the time was right.

"People will talk about Shearer and the record. I've got plenty of football left in my career, for now it is about reaching new levels with this club right now."

Harry Kane on learning the German language: "Just one word - Servus (hello). I'll have German lessons at least once or twice a week. I want to fit in as much as possible and learning the language is important and I'm willing to try.

"Of course I'm going to try and learn German, I want to try and embrace the culture, embrace the country so I'll be having lessons to try and pick that it up.

"We have a lot of English speaking players and staff around the club so that helps me but I want to fit in as much as possible and the best way to do that is by understanding the language.

"It will be tough, I've heard it's a tough language to learn but it's something I'm willing to try."

Harry Kane on expectation: "For me it is about trying to help the team as much as possible. Being a goalscorer, people are expecting me to do that.

"I've only been here two days. I'm still getting to know the players but one of the reasons I joined is because we have amazing talent. If I get a good connection, I'll score goals."

Harry Kane on the possibility of winning the Champions League at Wembley: "It is still quite a way away but for it to be at Wembley is exciting. I joined this club to have a good chance of winning the Champions League but for it to be at Wembley is amazing. Hopefully we can achieve that."

Harry Kane on differences between the Premier League and Bundesliga and his aims for the season: "I spent my whole career in England and the Premier League so it may take a bit of adapting to get used to a new league. I'm playing against different teams. As you saw yesterday with Leipzig, there are some great teams in this league and it is going to be a real challenge. I know people expect Bayern to win the league every year, but I think teams are improving and it is getting tougher.

"For me it is about settling in, getting as comfortable as possible and understanding the different teams and how I need to adapt."

This is my first transfer; it was an up and down experience for sure but I'm happy to be here now.
