Servette 1-0 Rangers (agg 2-2)
Decent effort from Nicolas Raskin.

Bang.
Servette captain Rouiller smashes Abdallah Sima with a hard but fair slide tackle.
He then picks himself back up to do the same to Todd Cantwell.
Servette 1-0 Rangers (agg 2-2)
That's a chance.
It's neat play in the Servette box as Danilo flicks up on to the head of Todd Cantwell, but he can't generate enough power on his close-range header.
Not as easy as it looked.

Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound
Rangers don't have their players as high, so they can't box teams in, they can't suffocate teams.
Michael Beale hasn't recruited the players to play wide, that's not his game-plan.

Anyone been thinking about this recently?
I felt at the time that could be a sliding-doors moment...

I didn't think it was possible, but the atmosphere ramped up inside the Stade de Geneve after that Servette goal.
Every time the home side get on the ball they're greeted with a huge roar, the fans encouraging them forward. Those roars then turn into loud boos when Rangers are in possession.
All the noise unsurprisingly is coming from the home supporters, I can see the Rangers fans clapping and singing, but to be honest they are being well drowned out.

I think Rangers need a little bit more urgency in the play particularly going forward.
I don't think they're particularly pressing with any great intent either when Servette are building up the play.
Rangers need to show more in the second half.

Alan Hutton points out how narrow Rangers are again.
Personally feel like that's been a problem all season for this new-look side.
Just look at their average positions from that first half, there's a serious lack of attacking width.

Former Rangers defender on BBC Scotland
It's been a difficult first 45 minutes.
The change in formation hasn't helped, Rangers are too narrow and they're playing right into Servette's hands.
Rangers will be happy to hear the half-time whistle.
They've been really overwhelmed for large spells in Geneva and Servette are level in this tie.
They could easily be ahead. Huge half-time team talk for Michael Beale.
Servette 1-0 Rangers (agg 2-2)
Another Servette corner.
It comes to the back post and striker Crivelli gets on the end of it but it's a hard one. Wide.

Danilo has struggled in this first half.
His miss aside, he's been sloppy, his touch hasn't quite been there.
Servette 1-0 Rangers (agg 2-2)
Story of Rangers' half.
Danilo fails to control another pass and it's out.
Servette 1-0 Rangers (agg 2-2)
Rangers are playing like a team that knows they need half time.
Servette 1-0 Rangers (agg 2-2)
Rangers are hanging on a bit here.
Another Servette corner incoming. It comes to nothing.

Thommo and Faddy in agreement, and no wonder.
