• Owen Hargreaves is the only other Englishman to have previously scored for Bayern. His last goal for the club was 18 years ago in a 3-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Bayern Munich ought to be 3-0 up now but Noussair Mazraoui totally ignores Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting after getting in down the right. Any sort of pass across goal would have left the former Stoke forward with a tap in there.

It's a triple change for the visitors. Harry Kane is heading off after a good night's work.

Jamal Musiala and and Kingsley Coman also make way as Mathys Tel, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller enter the fray.

Harry Kane is on the deck. It looks like Bayern's record signing has a touch of cramp.

The former Tottenham man gets across his marker but can't connect cleanly with Kingsley Coman's low pass from the left as the ball runs through for a goal kick.

Matthijs de Ligt replaces the booked Kim Min-jae for Bayern.

Meanwhile the hosts make a double switch as Christian Gross and Romano Schmid come on for Senne Lynen and Leonardo Bittencourt.

It's like the NBA as the ball is shifted back and forth and these two sides go at each other.

This time it's Bayern's turn to go close again with captain Joshua Kimmich curling wide from the edge of the home penalty area.

Marvin Ducksch and Niclas Fullkrug have come alive here for the hosts.

A bit of pressure from the Bremen forwards causes the panicky clearance to drop to midfielder Jens Stage who powers an effort over the Bayern bar.

All of a sudden the decibel levels rise.

This really is a cracking game now. Harry Kane drives forward and unloads an effort from 20 yards or so but that's a very good save from the Bremen keeper Jiri Pavlenka, who gets down low to his right to save.
