Millwall started like a train and carved out plenty of decent early openings.

But it was Joel Piroe's precise finish from a rapid break which has given Daniel Farke's side the lead at the interval.

The Lions also had a decent case to argue Piroe committed a foul at the start of that counter-attack.

Can the Lions find a way back? Or will Leeds increase their advantage?

It's been a decent away performance since those early scares.

    Millwall 0-1 Leeds Utd

Leeds have taken the sting out of the game a tad.

They work the ball well on the edge of the Millwall box but the hosts stand firm and Luke Ayling's effort is well blocked.

The visitors have had almost 60% of possession and both sides have had the one effort on target.

Five mins and stoppage time to go.

Millwall force a fifth corner of the game but Ryan Longman's delivery drifts harmlessly out for a thrown in.

They have created plenty of pressure, and worked some chances, but goals are again proving hard to come by for the Lions.

So close to a second for Leeds.

Crysencio Summerville makes a great run off the ball to find space on the right of the Millwall box.

He tries an audacious effort from an acute angle under pressure from two defenders and it just curls away from the far post.

    Millwall 0-1 Leeds Utd

Millwall will be fuming about that, and not only because of the penalty protests.

They were well on top and looked set for the opener themselves after Illan Meslier had played his defence into big trouble again playing out from the back

A lightning break gives Leeds the edge.

Millwall were appealing for handball against a prostrate Luke Ayling, but while their penalty shouts were being waved away, the visitors break.

Wilfried Gnonto takes the long ball forward and advances down the left before playing the ball inside to Georginio.

He links beautifully with Joel Piroe who fires a first-time low shot into the corner of the net.

    Super play.

Leeds are finally seeing the ball in the Millwall half, as Wilfried Gnonto makes strides down the left.

Then Georginio wins a corner which the hosts just about deal with. Just.

Tom Bradshaw again causes big problems for the Leeds back four.

He jumps to challenge keeper Illan Meslier who drops the ball. Bradshaw pokes the ball goalwards before Pascal Struijk recovers to clear off the line.

Whistle had blown though for Bradshaw's challenge.

Not a convincing start for the United backline.

Leeds look unsettled and a mix-up between Luke Ayling and Pascal Struijk gifts Millwall another corner.

This time they deal with it a little more comfortably.

Millwall straight on the front foot and win a corner within 25 seconds.

Tom Bradshaw flicks on at the near post across the face of goal and almost meets a Millwall head.

Then Jake Cooper puts Bradshaw in behind the Leeds defence and forces a crucial block.

    Cracking start from the hosts.

After taking just three points from their opening three games, Millwall have picked up of late.

They followed a narrow 1-0 win over Stoke with a good draw at high-flying Birmingham last time out.

Gary Rowett's side are down in 16th in the early season shake-up, but know victory against Leeds will catapult them into eighth and the fringes of the play-off picture.

Goals are their sticking point - they have found the net just four times in six matches in all competitions and failed to score more than once in any game.

Leeds have favoured the draw so far this season, picking up a point in three of their five league fixtures, including a goalless stalemate with Sheffield Wednesday in their most recent outing.

They sit 17th but did pick up their only league win the last time they hit the road - a 4-3 corker away to Ipswich.

A win would leapfrog them above the Lions and up to the dizzy heights of 10th.
