If this score stays at 0-0 at the break John Eustace will really want to make sure his side aren't left ruing all the potential chances they've had.

QPR put their bodies on the line there. They were fantastic blocks.

Birmingham have been looking really dangerous, whipping crosses in early and have caused QPR problems.

Birmingham just can't get that final touch right with their attack.

QPR throw bodies on the line and again manage to keep them out as a shot from Koji Miyoshi and a header and another strike from Jay Stansfield go begging.

Lyndon Dykes has been fairly quiet so far this game.

He gets his head on the end of a QPR free-kick but it's way off target and doesn't cause much trouble.

There have been lots of embers in attack simmering without much happening but finally one of the keepers is called in to make a save.

Paul Smyth cuts inside onto his left foot on the edge of the box and drills a low shot goalwards that Birmingham goalkeeper John Ruddy has to dive down to keep out.

Ilias Chair is fouled by Krystian Bielik and wins a free-kick not too far inside Blues' half.

Chair steps up to take it except yet again it doesn't get much beyond the first defender and before you can blink Birmingham are racing down the other end on the counter.

Juninho Bacuna's cross is just a little bit behind Scott Hogan though as he bursts into the box.

Birmingham weathered an earlier QPR storm but look like the side that are going to get the first goal at the moment.

Cody Drameh tries to pick out Koji Miyoshi with a ball over the top, it's just a bit too far ahead of him and rolls behind.

As close to a goal as we're going to get - how that didn't go in I still don't really know!

Sam Field makes a literal off-the-line clearance, stretching his leg out up to his head to clear the ball with his boot as it was flying into the net for Birmingham's first goal.

The ball deflected off QPR centre-back Steve Cook.

You won't see a better bit of defensive play than that.

Blues needs to keep getting Jay Stansfield on the ball because he's full of confidence at the moment.

They're doing really well and getting the full-backs foward and they've having some success.

The fact they're playing down both sides makes it unpredictable for QPR as to where they're going to go.

He's made three breaks down the right now in the space of just a few minutes. Birmingham are really piling on the pressure around the QPR box

A lovely bit of play from Birmingham almost results in a first shot on target for the hosts.

Jay Stansfield is unleashed down the right, gets the ball through the legs of Morgan Fox and picks out Keshi Anderson in the box.

Anderson has a one-two with Koji Miyoshi but he takes too much time with the ball and in the end can't get his shot away.

Lee Buchanan goes down under a challenge from Sinclair Armstrong, who avoids a yellow card but gets a bit of a talking to from the referee.

Safe to say he'll probably be going in the book if there's another one.

QPR choose to take the set piece short and when they eventually work the ball into the box it goes out for corner number two.

The second one isn't much better and goes straight out before ending up in John Ruddy's hands.

A warning shot for Birmingham as Sinclair Armstrong has the first real chance of the evening but his leaping header from a few yards out goes over the bar.

It came after Ilias Chair's shot from a tight angle was palmed into the air by John Ruddy.

Birmingham were calling for a handball in the build up but the referee wasn't having any of it.

Koji Miyoshi has created all kinds of problems for teams facing Birmingham this season.

He's picked out in the middle of the park and hits the ball first time as he attempts to play a pass through but it's too heavy and the ball runs behind.
