Over at Hillsborough, Sheffield Wednesday have also taken action.

Xisco Munoz's short and winless reign as Owls boss is over after the club's worst-ever start to a season.

Wednesday are bottom of the Championship with just two points from their first 10 games of the campaign.

Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at West Brom proved to be the final straw for owner Dejphon Chansiri.

Munoz had guided Watford to promotion from the Championship in 2020-21, but his Wednesday side only mustered five goals in 10 league games.

With Chansiri saying he will no longer pump more money into the club, where next for the Owls?
