  1. See you on deadline day

That's it for us today, but there is plenty more to come. Watch out for the Champions League draw at 17:00 BST - click on this link to follow that live.

Of course, we will be back tomorrow for the end of the transfer window.

Until then, here is a bit of light reading to keep you busy:

  2. 'Facing a promoted team in their first home game is always tough'

Luton Town v West Ham (Fri, 20:00 BST)

    West Ham United

Finally, Moyes was asked about facing promoted Luton in their first home game of the season: "It's been brilliant by Luton to get themselves in the Premier League. They've been knocking on the door for a couple of years and going to a newly-promoted team for their first home game of the season is always tough.

"All I can do is go get my team ready as best I can, make them aware of Luton's qualities, and I'm sure Luton will use the tight environment to their advantage."

And on James Ward-Prowse's start at West Ham: "One of the reasons we brought him here was his Premier League experience. He's come in and settled in really well for us. He has scored goals and created goals for us already and we're really happy with him."

  3. 'Another good Europe group would be nice!'

Luton Town v West Ham (Fri, 20:00 BST)

    West Ham United

More from Moyes on his team collective: "When I lost Wayne Rooney at Everton, I found it was about the team more then. Before that, the media would talk about that one player rather than the team. We're trying to get a team that wants to work hard and be competitive, and we're getting that."

On the Europa League draw: "Another good group would be nice! Good travel would also be good too, because that's hugely important.

"This part of the season, leading up to Christmas, can be a drain in some ways. We've generally made it look good in terms of European results, and hopefully we can do it again.

"We want to enjoy the trips, and I hope the supporters do as well. Going into it as Conference League winners lets us stick our chests out a little bit more."

  4. 'Soucek is not available'

Luton Town v West Ham (Fri, 20:00 BST)

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes on team news for Friday's match against Luton Town: "Tomas Soucek is not available from last week. We're covering the protocols from the Premier League regarding his concussion last week."

On the Hammers' form: "Any manager will tell you that a good start to the season is important. We've had a great start to the season with some tough games. We've got another tough game on Friday night, but our lads have gone about their business really well."

On the transfer window: "We always had to add some players to the squad, with Declan and Lanzini moving on. We've done that. You have to get a balance. You don't want too many players, you have to have the right numbers, and right now we're in pretty good shape."

  5. Post update

Finally, we just have enough time to fit in some David Moyes...

  6. 'I've followed Postecoglou for a long time'

Burnley v Tottenham (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Burnley

More from Kompany on Saturday's opponents Tottenham and their new manager Ange Postecoglou: "I've been following Ange Postecoglou for a long time. You can see his team play the same way in Japan, Celtic and now Tottenham.

"These managers have a very clear idea of what they want to achieve. His mentality and competitiveness is something that will eventually lead to results. I enjoy watching his teams."

  7. 'Plenty of experienced players went down last season'

Burnley v Tottenham (Sat, 15:00 BST)

    Burnley

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany on the transfer window: "We don't control when other clubs make their players available, but if a player is available we'll always look into it. We'll see."

On whether he will look to bring in "leaders": "We do have leadership in the group. You have to make sure you don't have a fetish for experience and leadership because there's plenty of experienced players who went down last season. It's a case of having the right profiles and attaching character to that."

  8. 'EFL Cup win came with a cost'

    Burnley v Tottenham (Sat,15:00 BST)

    Burnley

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has faced the press before they play Tottenham on Saturday.

Kompany says there was a "cost" to Wednesday night's EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest, with the club still "assessing" an injury to Vitinho. Hjalmar Ekdal has avoided "severe" injury and will instead start a "normal rehab", missing Saturday's game.

He also says his team are "showing signs of something really interesting to look forward to" despite losing their opening two Premier League games.

"I still believe we can get a result against Tottenham, of course," he added.

  9. Post update

Right, on to Burnley manager Vincent Kompany...

  10. 'I would have told him what I felt' - O'Neil on Nunes

Crystal Palace v Wolves (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Wolves

Finally, Gary O'Neil on the agreement with Manchester City to sell Matheus Nunes, who refused to train with Wolves during the negotiations: "The situation is resolved, he is signing for Manchester City. If he had re-joined the group I would have told him what I felt.

"When I dealt with him before he worked hard and did what he could for the club. Then a big club came calling and players want to play for Manchester City. We move on."

On what changed with the Nunes deal: "The offer. At that point it was a lot lower and we weren’t going to accept.

"The squad will be in a better place than it was last week by the end of the window."

  11. 'Sometimes you have to roll your sleeves up'

Crystal Palace v Wolves (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Wolves

More from Wolves manager Gary O'Neil on their win over Everton: "I am happy with large parts of performance at Everton - our attitude and we worked hard. It is not always going to be pretty patterns and dominating the ball, sometimes you have to roll your sleeves up and find a way to win."

On Sunday opponents Crystal Palace: "I struggled twice against Palace last season with Bournemouth. Obviously, this is a different group. We have enough to cause them problems but they are a good side - with Eze, Olise, Eduard, two good centre-backs - they are a good side with an experienced manager."

  12. 'We are trying to do some more' - O'Neil on possible signings

Crystal Palace v Wolves (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Wolves

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil, speaking before Sunday's Premier League match at Crystal Palace, on any late business still to be done in the transfer window:

"Hopeful we can do some more. [latest signing] Enso Gonzalez is a talent, very young, with some adaptation needed. It's a long couple of days.

"We need to get used to a very different league. There are a few areas that hopefully we can still strengthen before the end of the window but no other names to confirm. Happy to confirm we are trying to do some more.

"The recruitment team are working extremely hard to get a balanced squad. I am sure by the close of play tomorrow we will be happy with what we have done."

  13. Post update

That's all from Sean Dyche, next up is Wolves manager Gary O'Neil...

  14. It took one call - Lukaku

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport

New Roma striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed he didn't need much persuading to switch from Chelsea to the Italian capital.

Lukaku will be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Roma and he can't wait to get started.

"It just took one call," he said. "Both owners called me a few days before the agreement was reached.

"We spoke for half an hour about their ambitions for the club and the fans.

"From that point onwards everything moved very quickly.”

  15. 'We have to score goals'

Sheffield United v Everton (Sat, 12.30 BST)

    Everton

More from Dyche on Everton's transfer priorities: "I think the obvious one is the wide areas. The front area we are trying to find that balance."

On Sheffield United: "I went to the game [Sheffield United against Manchester City]. They are an outfit that have worked very hard to get to where they have got to.

"The manager there has worked hard with them, he doesn't mind working direct when they need to. They work as a unit, they work very hard. They put up a good show against City.

On Sheffield United's EFL Cup defeat to Lincoln: "Last night went against them. They are new the the division. We have performed well, we got the job done last night so we'll see. We'll see if we can go there and perform, but we have to score goals."

  16. Iwobi interest 'has to be looked at' - Dyche

Sheffield United v Everton (Sat, 12.30)

    Everton

Sean Dyche on transfer interest in midfielder Alex Iwobi: "There are a few circling for a few of our players and he is one of them. There is nothing in agreement yet.

"The obvious thing that has been apparent is the club have to look at the business side of it. Money is not free flowing, so it has to be looked at."

Fitness update on Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison: "Dwight is just back on the grass with us, the training group, so another one we would have to make a decision on, but he is feeling pretty strong.

"Jack is on the grass with the sport science team, but not with us yet, so he'd have to get to that stage before the next steps. He'd probably need a build-up, but he is going well.

On Dele Ali: "I spoke to him today and he is feeling better about things. Dele is getting back on the grass slowly but surely. There are a few things we expect, it's not ideal as we are stretched."

  17. Calvert-Lewin injury 'nothing that needs surgery'

Sheffield United v Everton (Sat,12.30 BST)

    Everton

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin injury

Sean Dyche on whether Beto will start against Sheffield United: "The good thing is he has played already, he has had a pre-season and is ready physically. There are some slight differences in the Premier League and the way it is but he certainly made it clear he is desperate to get off the mark as soon as possible."

On Dominic Calvert-Lewin's facial injury: "It is nothing that needs surgery but there was a minor situation on his sinus area which is delicate so he has to be careful with it. The good news from an overall picture is he has been able to train through it, not with us because of the type of injury it is, but he has been able to keep fit. Then as we go into the weekend we see how fragile it is. No surgery."

On whether Calvert-Lewin could play in a mask: "Maybe, but at this stage it is more to make sure it doesn't get knocked. It's touch and go for the weekend and then after that, with the international break, he is available."

  18. 'Beto desperately wanted to come here'

Sheffield United v Everton (Sat, 12.30 BST)

    Everton

    Beto

Everton manager Sean Dyche faced the media before Saturday's Premier League match at Sheffield United.

He was first asked about the EFL Cup draw, after Everton were handed a trip to Aston Villa in the third round: "It's a tough draw as they are going well, started the season well. The main thing was to get through last night [against Doncaster Rovers] and see what comes next."

On new signing Beto scoring on his debut against Doncaster and whether that takes the pressure off Dominic Calvert-Lewin: "It's not about taking pressure off of anyone. It's about adding to our strike force.

"We have been searching for that for a long time, he is a player we have been monitoring for a long time. A player who desperately wanted to come here and so we got that done.

"Back to his performance, his clearance came through late so we couldn't plan on him starting, but we were hoping he'd be available so the plan was always to get him on for a half if we could. I am pleased with his performance."

  19. Post update

Gareth Southgate has finished speaking now, but we will dip back into answers from his news conference throughout the afternoon.

For now, though, we will concentrate on the Premier League, starting with Everton boss Sean Dyche.

  20. Bayern move 'a good challenge' for Kane

    England

More from Gareth Southgate on captain Harry Kane's summer move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich:

"I think it's a really good challenge for him. Bayern Munich is a huge football club. He's leaving a big football club here to go to the biggest one in Germany. He's going to be expected to be challenging for trophies. He's got a new set of supporters to win over and a new set of team-mates to impress every day on the training pitch.

"A fresh challenge for him I would view as a positive. From a life experience perspective, to live in different countries is brilliant for your own personal development. I am looking forward to talking to him a bit more."

On if Kane sought his advice before making a decision:

"No. I mean I am always there if players want to speak but I am also not influencing their club decisions. That wouldn't be right."

Harry Kane celebrates after a penalty scored during the Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and Augsburg.
