    Wales 0-0 South Korea

Cho Gue-sung runs into a big space down the Wales right to collect a ball over the top, but his cross his clubbed across the field and goes all the way out for a throw-in.

We could do with a bit more quality from someone, here.

    Jung Seung-hyun clatters Kieffer Moore.

That was a heftier challenge than anything we saw in the first half.

It's a good opportunity for Kieffer Moore to get some minutes in.

He hasn't played many minutes this season, and that protects Brennan Johnson for Monday.

It changes the whole dynamic of the team and it also gives the defenders an out-ball.

More often than not he's going to win the header and players like Harry Wilson running off him.

  4. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Wales 0-0 South Korea

Harry Wilson wins the ball ahead of Hwang In-beom in the box and goes down claiming a penalty, but Scottish referee Willie Collum is not interested.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Wales 0-0 South Korea

We are under way in the second half after two Welsh changes at the break, with Kieffer Moore and Joe Morrell - both of whom are suspended for Latvia - on for Brennan Johnson and Ethan Ampadu.

    Nathan Blake
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Wales seem to have gone away from trying to have possession to something that was done 10 years ago under Chris Coleman, trying to counter attack.

They're not playing it as well as they did under Coleman but they're giving the opposition possession.

  7. 'Pleased' but a goal neededpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 7 September 2023

    HT: Wales 0-0 South Korea

    Gwennan Harries
Former Wales striker speaking on S4C

Reasonably pleased with that first-half from a Welsh perspective, I think this shape suits us, playing with three in the back freeing up the wingers.

Obviously I'd have loved to have seen a goal but fairly happy.

Nathan Broadhead and Harry Wilson have freedom which is important but they're also playing close together which is good to see.

The way they've set up has given South Korea a lot of respect.

They've sat back - even in the final third they're letting them have possession.

  9. James 'tidy' on his special nightpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 7 September 2023

    Gwennan Harries
    Former Wales striker on S4C

Jordan James hasn't been astounding in this game but he's been very tidy.

South Korea haven't been the strongest team perhaps but James has been watchful and the spaces between him and Ethan Ampadu aren't too big.

Everything he's done so far I've been pleased enough with.

South Korea have had the possession, passing it around the back, but it hasn't really been too dangerous for the most part of the game.

That's how Wales have set up - they're going to allow them to play in front of them and take the opportunities when they can.

    Nathan Blake

Wales need a platform to build off. Brennan Johnson is brilliant at attacking over the top but Wales need a platform to build from.

That's what Wales get from Kieffer Moore with Johnson.

There's not been a lot of incident to talk about, the game desperately needs a goal.

South Korea have had more possession but Wales have had more shots and goal mouth action and look the more likely to score.

  13. HALF-TIME - Wales 0-0 South Koreapublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 7 September 2023

The whistle goes to end a half which will not live in the memory for too long.

Rob Page will be happy with his side's defensive effort, you would imagine, in a game which has been short on clear-cut chances at either end.

South Korea are back on the front foot, as Son Heung-min's cross flies into a dangerous area and Ethan Ampadu scrambles clear.

A first flash of danger from Son Heung-min.

Connor Roberts must be sick of the sight of the South Korea captain after he scored a hat-trick for Tottenham against Roberts' Burnley on Saturday.

  17. Son hits the target - but Ward savespublished at 40 mins

South Korea's spell on the ball leads to their first shot on target, although Son Heung-min's effort from outside the box is comfortably gathered by Danny Ward.
