The couple of times that we've broken through has been between the lines, with Harry Wilson picking it up.

Nathan Broadhead's movement I've been really impressed with - he's inexperienced at this level, but he's looking confident.

You can tell he's got a couple of goals behind him this season already. The best moments that have happened so far have come through him.

Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae challenges Brennan Johnson and the Wales forward ends up in a heap.

The good news for Wales - and Spurs - is that their £47.5m forward is okay, despite looking like he was in some pain for a moment.

More encouragement for Wales as Neco Williams feeds Ben Davies, who finds himself a long way forward.

He picks out Brennan Johnson in the box but his cross is blocked.

We've been fortunate to have a full stadium whether it's a friendly or a qualifier, it's been built up as a bit of an irrelevant game, a bit of a nuisance.

You can see that from the fans and the players feed off that. You can see from the tempo of the game, it's difficult to get up for these games - just don't lose them!

South Korea's fans, who are mostly tucked away in one corner of the stadium, attempt to start a Mexican wave.

Most of the locals are not having it.

It was more of a Mexican dribble.

The crowd is not huge in Cardiff tonight - as we noted in the build-up - but those that are here are doing their best to drive Wales on.

There is a decent contingent from South Korea, too, including someone with a Somerset Spurs flag.

This is the first time these two teams have met.

Wales have played a number of Asian teams, not least in the World Cup against Iran... that didn't end well!

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

The Wales stars of the past are out in force on what is a warm night in Cardiff.

Neville Southall is sat just behind us in the press box with his own handheld fan.

Kevin Ratcliffe and Ian Rush are near the dugout while Iwan Roberts, Nathan Blake, Simon Church and Kath Morgan are on radio duty in the press box.

Son Heung-min is seeing plenty of the ball for South Korea, and a couple of neat contributions from the Spurs man give him room for a shot but the Wales defence recovers.

  13. 'Brilliant football' from Walespublished at 20:02 British Summer Time 7 September 2023

Former Wales striker on BBC Radio Wales

Great save! Brilliant football with one-twos, one touch football.

It was great football to get there but a good save. I really fancied Harry Wilson to lift it over the keeper it was a bit tame in the end but great football to get there.

I don't think Wilson caught it right in fairness.

Really liking Broadhead's positions early on. He's dropping in, he's playing that false nine, and picking up some good positions.

You can tell he's playing confidently.

  15. First big chance for Walespublished at 15 mins

    Wales 0-0 South Korea

Wales open South Korea up for the first time thanks to sharp passes from Ethan Ampadu and Nathan Broadhead, who feeds Harry Wilson in the area.

The Fulham man gets a shot away but Seol Young-woo makes half a block and goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu is able to save.

  16. 'Scrappy' beginningpublished at 13 mins

Both managers could do with a win to relieve some pressure.

It's scrappy, it has the feel of a friendly. It's still early so hopefully it settles down.

Son Heung-min is getting in some lovely positions.

Wales threaten briefly as South Korea fail to clear a Harry Wilson, but Nathan Broadhead is shut down as he tries to make space for a shot.

Robert Page said before this game that Wales would have to "suffer" without the ball tonight.

We're not quite at the suffering stage yet but South Korea are certainly bossing possession so far.

Brennan Johnson almost pounces on a loose ball but Hwang In-beom closes the gap in the visitors' defence.

South Korea are enjoying plenty of possession for the moment, though they have not created any sight of goal as yet.

On the touchline, Jurgen Klinsmann looks like a man who wants more from his team.
