    Aberdeen 0-0 Ross County

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

County have settled well at a perishing Pittodrie. After a lively start by the hosts, it is the visitors who are starting to dictate the play and they are not giving the Dons a chance to settle into any sort of rhythm at all.

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

    What's Sam Lammers thinking?

The Rangers forward volleys a free-kick curled into the home six-yard box towards his own goal and centre-half Connor Goldson has to head over his the crossbar.

Nervous moment for the Ibrox men.

    Aberdeen 0-0 Ross County

Now it's Jonny Hayes who's down for Aberdeen.

The veteran wing-back seems to be claiming that he's taken a swipe to the face from Yan Dhanda, but the replays show there's not much in it at all.

Looks like the substitute will soldier on.

    Stephen Craigan

There are six or seven Motherwell players ready to put their body on the line for the team. They are being brave when the opportunities present themselves.

  5. Visitors started very wellpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Sport Scotland at Ibrox

Motherwell are taking this to Rangers early on.

There's no intent to sit in and stay in the game so far.

It's been impressive and will settle the visitors. There's already a few grumbles from the home crowd.

  6. Hayes on for McGarrypublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Aberdeen 0-0 Ross County

That looks a sore one for James McGarry.

The Aberdeen defender goes down completely unchallenged as is clutching his hamstring. And the writing's on the wall for his afternoon.

    Jonny Hayes is the replacement.

  7. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Aberdeen 0-0 Ross County

Fast-paced start at Pittodrie as both sides charge around in search of a foothold.

County striker Simon Murray is looking lively as he sniffs around for another Premiership goal.

    Rangers 0-0 Motherwell

Some sloppy passing in midfield by Rangers and Harry Paton picks up the ball 20 yards out.

Motherwell have made an impressive start at Ibrox.

Rangers not seeing much of the ball - and it's not often you can say that about that in a domestic match at Ibrox.

    Aberdeen v Ross County (15:00)

So are Aberdeen going to get that first league win monkey off their back? Or are County going to pile more pressure on Barry Robson?

    Rangers v Motherwell (15:00)

Will Rangers build on their win over Real Betis, or will Motherwell continue their impressive start to the league season?

Thumbs up below for a Rangers win, thumbs down for Well.

  13. Pressure still on Robsonpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Aberdeen v Ross County (15:00)

Like Michael Beale, Barry Robson eased some of the pressure on his shoulders by steering his side to an improved performance in Frankfurt.

With his Aberdeen side joint bottom of the league with just two points, many travelled to Germany in hope rather than expectation. But, despite a 2-1 defeat on Thursday, it was an extremely well drilled and competitive Aberdeen that gave the Bundesliga side, and recent Europa League winners, a real scare.

Harnessing that and bouncing back into Premiership duty will be imperative for Robson in his first full season as manager.

It will not be easy against a County side who have yet to lose in September after winning in Kilmarnock and drawing at home to Livingston.

  16. Rangers have history on sidepublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Rangers v Motherwell (15:00)

Rangers will fancy their chances of building on Thursday's win over Real Betis - and last weekend's victory over St Johnstone in Perth - given their record against Motherwell.

The Ibrox side are unbeaten in 17 meetings with today's visitors since October 2017 and have won four in a row since a 2-2 draw at Ibrox in February last year.

Motherwell have not won at Ibrox in 10 visits since May 2015.

  17. Always pressure to win - Robsonpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Aberdeen v Ross County (15:00)

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson is asking his side to translate that strong midweek European performance into league action.

"It's not easy when you're coming off the back, some players have suffered ill effects and there's a few knocks," he tells BBC Scotland. "We need to freshen up as much as we can and bring zip to the game.

"I think we've performed well in Europe and we need to take it into the league. The boys know that.

"At Aberdeen Football Club, you always have to win. We want to win, we're at home. We're not using Europe as an excuse. If they give 100% and play as well as we can, we'll give ourselves a good chance of winning.

"Ross County, good side. They'll ask questions all over and make things difficult."

  18. Pressure still on Bealepublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Rangers v Motherwell (15:00)

Michael Beale admits that the pressure is not yet off himself and his side despite Thursday's 1-0 Europa League group win over Real Betis.

After an otherwise difficult start to the season, his Rangers side go into today's game sitting one point and one place below today's visitors.

Admittedly, Motherwell have lost to St Mirren in the Viaplay Cup and league in recent weeks.

However, Stuart Kettlewell's side are unbeaten in their past eight Premiership away matches - the longest current unbeaten run on the road in the division. In fact, they have yet to lose in the league on their travels under the former Ross County manager.

  19. All to play for in the Granite Citypublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Aberdeen v Ross County (15:00)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

After their midweek Conference League exertions, it is back to domestic matters for Aberdeen.

The Dons have rightly received plenty of plaudits after giving Eintracht Frankfurt an almighty scare in Germany before eventually losing 2-1.

Manager Barry Robson will be hoping the positivity from that outing can ignite what has been a faltering start to the domestic campaign.

Aberdeen are without a win in five league games, so the importance of trying to get that monkey off their back and get the victory against County this afternoon is clear.

It is the first part of a big double header between the sides, who also meet on Viaplay Cup business in Dingwall on Wednesday, with County arriving in the Granite City looking to build on two wins and a draw - a more than decent return from their opening five league games.

  20. County face test against 'one of the best teams'published at 14:35 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Aberdeen v Ross County (15:00)

Ross County manager Malky Mackay says he thinks Aberdeen have a lot more to show despite their poor start to the Premiership season.

"We're being consistent at the moment," he tells BBC Scotland. "I think we were excellent against Livingston last week.

"There's a lot of criticism of Aberdeen at the moment and I'm paying no heed to it. I know how tough this is over here.

"They've clearly spent a lot of money this season. I look at a group of players who a very experienced. I thought they were excellent the other night against Eintracht Frankfurt. We have to be at our best."
