Northern Ireland will be wondering how they haven't scored in that first half, with Simone Magill and Lauren Wade both going close.
Tanya Oxtoby called on her side to be more controlled in possession and that has certainly been the case at Seaview - all that's missing is that clinical touch.
The half-time whistle probably came at the wrong time for the hosts, who were piling the pressure on the Albanian defence.
HT: Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
There have been plenty of openings for Northern Ireland, but they have failed to take any of them and go in goalless at the break.
Tanya Oxtoby will be pleased with the dominance of her side as they have played much better than they did on Saturday, but she will rue the opportunities they have missed so far, particularly the chance Simone Magill spurned.
Plenty of positives for Northern Ireland to build on however ahead of the second period.
Hungary 0-3 Republic of Ireland
Kyra Carusa's effort crashes off the post, but she was adjudged to have been offside so, if on target, it wouldn't have counted anyway.
However, what a chance for the forward to double her tally for the evening!
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
There will be one minute of additional time at the end of the half, with Northern Ireland hoping to create one more chance before the half is out.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
Lauren Wade stands the ball up to the back post and it falls for Kirsty McGuinness, who is unable to sort her feet out and the chance is squandered.
Northern Ireland are putting plenty of balls in the box but lacking that cutting edge to convert one of the numerous chances they have created.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
Demi Vance lines up a shot from range, but her effort goes just wide.
We have seen her score from there before, the World Cup qualifier against Austria springs to mind, but it was not to be this time.
Hungary 0-3 Republic of Ireland
Courtney Brosnan comfortably collects Zsanett Kajan's strike from the edge of the box.
The home side are struggling to test stopper Brosnan.
Hungary 0-3 Republic of Ireland
Abbie Larkin and Megan Connolly come on to replace Heather Payne and Lilly Agg.
Will the substitutes make an impact?
Hungary 0-3 Republic of Ireland
Eileen Gleeson's side have dominated this half and have looked dangerous every time they travel into the final third.
Kyra Carusa finds space in the box and fires a strike towards goal, but it doesn't test Reka Szocs.

Northern Ireland have really upped the tempo, playing quicker and in the wide areas as Albania have been really compact in the centre. Hopefully they can make the pressure count and get a goal before half-time.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
Demi Vance plays in a looping cross to Simone Magill, who is unable to direct her header on target.
All Northern Ireland's best chances have come from crosses from the left, with Magill now guilty of missing two good opportunities to put the hosts in front.
Kyra Carusa (49 mins)
The perfect start to the second half for the visitors!
Heather Payne delivers a perfectly weighted pass into the box which Kyra Carusa leaps highest to connect with and nods the ball into the bottom left hand corner.

Northern Ireland are setting little traps. It is important they use them, win the ball and go on the counter-attack as they will catch Albania out of position.
Hungary 0-2 Republic of Ireland
We're back underway in Budapest with the home side making three changes with Fanni Vachter, Emoke Papai and Bolglarka Vida replacing Dora Sule, Hanna Nemeth and Laura Palakovics.
Eileen Gleeson makes one switch, bringing on Izzy Atkinson for Lucy Quinn.

It's strange to see another manager in the dugout here at Seaview, and it's fair to say the approaches from Tanya Oxtoby and former boss Kenny Shiels differ greatly.
Even with a full stadium, you would hear Shiels shouting orders from the touchline, kicking and heading every ball with his team.
Oxtoby, on the other hand, is cutting a calm presence and is gently pacing up and down her technical area.
It's a contrast, and I'm sure it will take the players some time to adjust to.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
Demi Vance again puts in a deep corner which Sarah McFadden does well to keep in play and nod back across goal. It falls for Lauren Wade, but she snatches at the chance and blazes over the crossbar.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania

Northern Ireland seem really comfortable here going forward and in their patterns of play.
They are really pushing on with Kirsty McGuinness putting in good balls into the box.
Northern Ireland 0-0 Albania
How did Simone Magill miss that?
Kirsty McGuinness whips in a superb ball to Magill, and unmarked, she can only direct her low shot straight at Viona Rexhepi who makes a sprawling save to deny the striker.
A big chance missed, but Northern Ireland are applying the pressure in the search for the first goal of the game.
