That's good goalkeeping from Raya. He stays big and doesn't take any chances. A lot of goalkeepers panic in that situation. He didn't.

Chris Sutton has summed it up pretty well there, I can't fathom what's gone through Olie McBurnie's mind there?

Not only could he have cost his side the points here but might also have cost his manager's job.

Burnley have lost all seven of their Premier League home games this season and are bidding to become the first team in English Football League history to lose each of their first eight at home in a single campaign.

But SURELY that run has to come to an end today now.

    Arsenal 2-0 Wolves

Wolves almost pull a goal back on the stroke of half-time as Arsenal fail to deal with a ball over the top, but David Raya is alert and quick off his line to deny Hwang Hee-Chan who hesitates for a second too long.

    A warning.

Arsenal are comfortable at the moment. VAR will only come on in the second half if Wolves pull one back and some extra firepower is needed against them.

    Martin

If Arsenal can keep up this style and confidence, I truly believe we can go one step further and win the title this year. After some good business in the summer, I think we have the squad depth to challenge over the full season.

Arsenal, who were 5-0 up at half-time in midweek, want a third before the break today. They play in Gabriel Martinelli but his shot on the angle is straight at substitute keeper Daniel Bentley.

  12. 'Two yellows but could have easily been two reds'published at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Burnley 2-0 Sheff Utd

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on Final Score

    What an idiot!

To go and do the same foul, for which he was lucky not to see red the first time, when your team is 2-0 down and the manager is under pressure, is so stupid from McBurnie.

In my opinion there was intent in both challenges, whether that is frustration or whatever it was, he got two yellows but he could easily have gotten two reds.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Brentford 0-0 Luton

No goals, or really any big chances to tell you about at the break. Luton skipper Tom Lockyer goes down clutching his leg after the half-time whistle and gets some treatment on the pitch.

He picked up a nasty knock in the first 10 minutes remember.

    Arsenal 2-0 Wolves

    Pat Nevin

Arsenal have done enough to get the two goal lead and they can afford to sit back a bit and play on the break.

  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Arsenal 2-0 Wolves

We're going to have at least seven minutes added on at the Emirates after multiple injuries to Wolves keeper Jose Sa in the first half. Arsenal look happy to play keep-ball until half-time.

  20. RED CARD - SHEFF UTDpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2023

    Burnley 2-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie was lucky to avoid a red card for elbowing Dara O'Shea earlier.

And he does the exact same thing again, on the same player, and gets his second yellow card. He's outta here.
