Credit to Luton because we are into December and they are outside of the relegation zone, despite many predicting them to struggle at this level and go straight back down.

Key to their survival hopes this season will be their home form and they are proving a tough side to beat in front of their own fans. They came close to getting a shock win against Liverpool last month before Luis Diaz's stoppage time equaliser, while no team has beaten them by more than one goal at Kenilworth Road.

As mentioned it has been over three decades since Arsenal last made the trip to Luton for a league game but it has never been a happy hunting ground for them.

They have not won any of their last 10 trips there but they will fancy their chances given their form away from home under Mikel Arteta.

With 16 victories on the road, no side in the Premier League has won more away games than Arsenal since the start of last season, with 14 of those wins coming without conceding a goal.

    Hello!

We kick off a midweek round of Premier League fixtures tonight with two games as the Premier League leaders Arsenal travel to new boys Luton (20:15 GMT), with Wolverhampton Wanderers versus Burnley first up at 19:30 GMT.

The Clarets claimed a much-needed 5-0 win against Sheffield United at the weekend and they will be hoping to follow that up with another positive result at Wolves.

  5. A potential banana skin?published at 18:15 Greenwich Mean Time 5 December 2023

The table makes for very pleasant reading for Arsenal fans right now.

The Gunners are sat top of the standings and have the chance to move five points clear of their rivals - for a day at least - if they beat Luton tonight.

But this has the potential to be a real banana skin for Mikel Arteta's side as they make the trip to Kenilworth Road for the first time in 32 years.
