  1. 'Fulham starting to click'published at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

    Michael Brown
Former Tottenham midfielder on Final Score

Fulham are playing well, really starting to grow into it and get some attacking play going.

This sort of game, you attack we attack versus Burnley, will really suit them. They are starting to click in the last few minutes.

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

    Two close shaves for Tottenham.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin forces a save from goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Vitalii Mykolenko's cross. The two almost link-up again moments after but Vicario reads the delivery.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Bournemouth

You can tell that Bournemouth are unbeaten since 4 November.

There's a crispness in their passing, a confidence in their movement.

There's plenty of movement in their attacking play too as Marcus Tavernier's cross from the left is easily gathered by Matt Turner.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

    What a save!

It opens up nicely for Harry Wilson inside the Burnley box but James Trafford stretches to keep it out.

Moments later Trafford denies Joao Palhinha before Alex Iwobi drills in the side-netting.

Fulham are on top after a quiet start.

  5. 'A goal typical of Spurs under Ange Postecoglou'published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

A really good goal from Spurs. Some nice intricate passing to get down the right hand side and Richarlison is in the right place to get the final finish.

A goal typical of this Spurs side under Ange Postecoglou, and a player scoring against his former club, and

Sean Longstaff just doesn't give it up. He heads it into the box, then his cross is blocked before he eventually picks out Lewis Miley.

His shot is then blocked and falls to Callum Wilson, who can only nod it wide at the back post.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth are growing into this.

They work the ball to Dominic Solanke in the area and he's able to get a left-footed shot away but it flies into the side-netting.

Wily Boly did just about enough to close down the angle that Solanke had to work with.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Son Heung-min flicks it on to Emerson Royal with the outside of his boot down the left and he whips it in early.

Brennan Johnson should score from close range but somehow skies it! HUGE chance and he knows it.

  9. 'It's not good enough'published at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

FT: West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw, speaking to TNT Sports: "[It was] just not good enough really. We have to win games. We keep losing games, losing points and we're making it very hard for ourselves. Especially that second half, not good enough. First half I think we controlled the game. If we score the first goal then maybe the result's different but we don't so we suffered in the second half and it's not good enough.

"The pass was an unbelievable pass. It got a bit of luck with the rebound and that's that. The second goal is a mistake but that doesn't matter. From the start of the second half, we were not the same as the first half and it showed. That's why I'm here now and we've lost three points again."

On United going four games without a goal: "It's tough to think what's going on. I think maybe we're just not creating enough and when we do on the other hand we're not clinical. Maybe it could be a lack of confidence at the moment, sometimes that's normal in football, it happens. Like I said, we have to try and keep staying positive. We've got another big game coming up against Aston Villa so we can't feel sorry for ourselves, we have to pick ourselves up and go again. It's a home game and we can't keep dropping points, we have to win games."

On whether it's difficult to stay positive: "Yeah, it is, but it's our job. We have to stay positive. This is Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and like I said before it's not good enough. We know that and we have to dig deep, look ourselves in the mirror and question ourselves and go from there."

I am confused by Forest's decision to bring in Nuno. He did well with Wolves but that was a while ago now. He got sacked for playing boring football and scoring no goals. Then he got sacked by Spurs for playing boring football and scoring no goals. Then he got sacked by Al Ittihad for playing boring football and scoring no goals. What are Forest expecting to happen now...?

  12. 'Amazing' to be near top end of tablepublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

FT: West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"I thought we got much better in the second half, I said at half-time we never got in behind enough we never threatened them enough. Some good bits of play in front but didn't get anywhere, second half we looked much better. When you need someone to find a perfect pass, [Lucas] Paqueta comes up with a brilliant pass for [Jarrod] Bowen.

"He's fearless, he's willing to take passes on and try them and make things happen. When you've got people running in behind and Jarrod gets another goal off him."

On Bowen: "He's someone who's acting like he wants to be a goal scorer, once you get the smell for it you want to keep it going and he's been doing that. He showed today he's ready.

"We've had a tough week, three game sin six days. We had to juggle it around. We were disappointed with the result against Liverpool."

On being sixth before Christmas: "It's amazing for us to be in and around that at the moment. We sold the best player in England [Declan Rice] last season and I want to keep building the team and making them better. You always have a chance of losing good players and you have to find ways round that."

  13. 'A really well-worked goal'published at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea and Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's absolutely brilliant play down the right-hand side from Tottenham. The first-time cross into that danger zone and Richarlison is uncontested.

It's a very nice finish and a really well-worked goal.

    Luton 0-0 Newcastle

Alfie Doughty drives into the Newcastle box and wins a corner, which Luton can't capitalise on.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Bournemouth

    Decent game this.

Bournemouth get a free-kick after a Neco Williams foul. It's drifted into the the back post and the cross back across deflects over the bar for a corner.

This is then headed over the top by Dango Ouattara.

    Chances at both ends, though.

  16. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 1-0 Evertonpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2023

    Richarlison (9 mins)

    Against his former club...

It's a well-worked goal by Tottenham as Brennan Johnson slides in a low cross from the right and Richarlison perfectly places it past the keeper.

He had scored just two goals in 39 games and now has four in his last three!

    Forest in again!

Anthony Elanga has his back to goal initially, but turns well. His effort, though, is straight at Neto from the edge of the area.

Nuno rocks back in disappointment but applauds again. The crowd are buoyed by this Forest start.

First real chance of the game.

Forest work Chris Wood in down the left and he skips past the challenge of Marcos Senesi but his effort is comfortable for Neto at the near post.

    Nuno applauds.
