Stoke look like every time they go forward they could score.

Lea in Birmingham: The only difference between Rooney and Eustace at Birmingham is that Eustace knew how to get the best out of the players and got results. Rooney hasn’t improved any aspect of this team.

Philip in Malton: Blues have had the majority possession in this game so far so Rooney will be pleased.

Birmingham are getting more and more involved in this game, well they've got to.

If they get the next goal it could be key, Stoke need to concentrate.

Substitute Tyler Roberts has an early pop at goal but from range and no real threat.

Eight of the Brummies' goals have come from the bench this season, but not many home fans seem to hold much hope.

Jay Stansfield tries to wake up the home faithful again just like his late, legendary father used to.

I promise I don't have a direct link to Wayne Rooney or Steven Schumacher...but as soon as I post that they both do get busy on the touchline!

Lynden Gooch, Stoke's skipper and second goalscorer is replaced by Sead Haksabanovic.

For the Blues it is Roberts for Roberts, Tyler on up front alongside Jay Stansfield in place of Marc Roberts.

Surely Birmingham boss Wayne Rooney has to turn to the bench, and sharpish?

Good goal by Andre Vidigal for Stoke.

Dion Sanderson could have done better there to show him wide, but it's good play from Vidigal on the counter.

Blues fans are leaving the ground now - it could be game over at 3-0.

Juninho Bacuna is OK to continue but does not take this set piece, again it comes to nothing, but....

Very cynical.

Junior Tchamadeu scythes down Juninho Bacuna who himself is on a yellow.

Watch closely if any retribution is sought, that was nasty from the Stoke man.

How has he missed that?

I thought that was in. He rose really well, got a good head on the ball, and somehow it hasn't gone in. The keeper was in no-man's land, he would have got nowhere near it.

That would have been the perfect start to the second-half for Birmingham.

Marc Roberts' header goes just wide of Jack Bonham's goal from the first Blues corner of this half - which is recycled and delivered again from the right.

Serious leap and passion to get to that first from the big Birmingham centre-half.

No substitutions at half-time, so three players remain on a yellow-card...

Birmingham have not impressed me so far, but this is Stoke we are talking about, so they could concede three goals.

I'm interested to see what Wayne Rooney will say to them at half-time.

A well-played half by Stoke, long may it continue.

Birmingham started the brighter of these two lower-mid-table sides, but since Jordan Thompson struck well from the edge of the box in the 12th minute Stoke grew and grew in confidence.

Skipper Lynden Gooch slotted through John Ruddy's legs just after the half-hour mark and Stoke deservedly lead at the interval 2-0.

Birmingham have been wasteful with lots of possession and half chances.

Last chance of this 45 for Birmingham and another Juninho Bacuna free-kick does nothing, Jack Bonham does come out and command his area this time, collecting easily.
