The visitors are seeing more of the ball but are yet to trouble Scotland much.

Tame start at Hampden. Thought they'd all be buzzing from a Halloween sugar rush.

Scotland knocking it about like a Johan Cruyff-inspired Dutch team.

Right out from Sandy MacIver and all the way up through midfield. The move breaks down, but that was lovely, confident stuff from the hosts.

I'm not even joking, the chap in that hat is called Peter.

We spoke to him on Friday, in what was his 150th game following the Dutch women.

He was also on our flight back to Glasgow on Saturday... he's easy to find in that hat, mind.

Nope, that's not a Halloween costume.

That's just two very well-dressed gentlemen. Good to see Dutch fans having made the trip.

  7. Jonker expects more attacking Scotspublished at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

Dutch head coach Andries Jonker says top striker Vivianne Miedema has been left on the bench as "we have to be careful with her" on her return from long-term injury.

Explaining the return of Victoria Pelova, he tells BBC Scotland: "She was a little bit ill last week, but she deserved to be back in the team."

Of Scotland, he says: "We played a really good match last week and, if you lose 4-0, you want to see if you can attack more and put us under pressure and that's what we expect."

  8. Corsie for midfield?published at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

    Amy Canavan
    BBC Scotland at Hampden Park

I'm back thinking about tonight's formation.

The chat downstairs was that it looked like a back three - and it may well be that in spells tonight - but my original thought was that captain Rachel Corsie would shift forward into the midfield.

When Jenna Clark came on late in Nijmegen, the Aston Villa player done just that.

So, I'm gonna be big and brave and stick to my guns. All to be shown up in about ten minutes when she's in the heart of the defence.

  10. Martinez Losa hopes changes will 'refresh' sidepublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

Scotland head coach Pedro Martinez Losa tells BBC Scotland: "Every time we play at Hampden, it is a privilege and a great opportunity to showcase the game. The girls are desperate to connect with the fans.

"Playing in League A was always going to be challenging. There's no excuse, it's always challenging. We've showed we can be competitive. In the last game, we didn't perform. The Dutch team are in great form but we're looking forward to the performance.

"We want to put players in the best positions. From the analysis of Friday night, we thought with the group that we're going to make a few changes to refresh the team and implement tactical modifications"

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

It's a bold move to give your goalkeeper her international debut against a team you just got battered 4-0 by a few days ago.

That being said, maybe there's nothing to lose in giving Sandy MacIver her shot.

Having just switched allegiances from England for this camp, this is her moment to prove herself in her new home stadium.

  12. Cuthbert's comebackpublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

What a welcome sight to see Erin Cuthbert back in the Scotland squad.

With no Caroline Weir, Sam Kerr or Emma Watson, the midfield was entirely overran on Friday night.

The Chelsea midfielder will bring industry and creativity to the engine room and, going by her comments earlier this week, she's going to be right up for this one.

"We can get closer to them and put them under a bit more pressure," she said. Anybody can look world class when they are under no pressure, so we need to put them under more pressure."

"We want to show our DNA and what we're all about. Standing up and being brave and that includes on and off the ball.

"We want to be aggressive and show our character of getting on the ball. I don't think we're miles away. It is crunch time - it's about getting some points on the board."

  13. Pedro pulling out the surprisespublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

Well, that line-up has got the minds boggling in the press room.

Very rarely does Pedro Martinez Losa make wholesale changes. Perhaps this team is as big as a sign there is of his bitter disappointment from Friday night.

A debut for former English international Sandy MacIver and a rare start for Liverpool's Jenna Clark has caught the eye, so too has the apparent switch to a back three.

    Interesting. Very interesting.

  14. Pelova starts with Miedema on benchpublished at 19:26 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

Dutch head coach Andries Jonker has resisted the temptation to start Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema after her return from long-term injury.

Jonker probably thinks they don't need their top scorer this time round considering his forward line gave the Scots the run-around in Friday's 4-0 win.

In the only change from the side who started in Nijmegen, Arsenal midfielder Victoria Pelova returns, with Twente forward Renate Jansen dropping to the bench.

  15. MacIver gets first cap in five Scotland changespublished at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2023

    Scotland v Netherlands (19:45)

Five changes for Scotland. Pedro Martinez Losa wants a reaction.

The headline news is that first Scotland cap for Manchester City's Sandy MacIver, with 51-cap Lee Gibson dropping into the bench in a rare change between the sticks.

It could well be a back three for Scotland, with Jenna Clark coming in alongside Sophie Howard and captain Rachel Corsie, with Fiona Brown and Lisa Evans also back in, as well as Erin Cuthbert in a welcome boost to the midfield.

Rachel McLauchlan, Amy Rodgers, Christy Grimshaw and Martha Thomas are the other drop-outs.

Let's hope it's not a scary night for Scotland, eh?

We've got you covered with part two of a Dutch double-header, as Pedro Martinez Losa's side look to give themselves a better account of themselves than Friday's game in The Netherlands.

There's live coverage on BBC Alba, with English commentary via the red button if your Gaelic's no up to scratch. I'll be here on the live text (very much in English).
