The Scottish Premiership season may still be in its relative infancy, but this afternoon’s Dens Park date between Dundee and Livingston does have the feel of being a pretty important game.

The Dark Blues have equipped themselves pretty well to life back in the top division, and Tony Docherty will be keen to see how his players react to that result this afternoon.

As for Livingston, they are hoping to address what has been a pretty worrying run of results.

They have won just one of their last eight league games, losing their last three.

They are currently second from bottom, just three points above St Johnstone who have a game in hand.

When you factor all of that in to the equation, you start to see how important the three points would be for David Martindale’s side today.

  2. Lloyd in for Livi in only swappublished at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2023

    Dundee v Livingston (14:00)

David Martindale was fairly content with Livingston's defensive display against Hearts midweek, so perhaps it's unsurprising he's only made one change.

Mo Sangare is the man to drop out for Daniel Lloyd, who makes his first start for Livi since joining at the end of August.

He has just 19 minutes of Premiership action under his belt.

Miles Welch-Hayes, who made his first start at Tynecastle, keeps his place after impressing.

  3. Three changes for Doc from Rangers hammeringpublished at 13:45 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2023

    Dundee v Livingston (14:00)

Tony Docherty makes three changes from the 5-0 thrashing dealt by Rangers midweek.

Jordan McGhee, Lyall Cameron and Zak Rudden are called upon, with Aaron Donnelly and Malachi Boateng dropping to the bench, while Scott Tiffoney is out of the squad all together.

One would think a wee formation change is on the cards, too.
