To the people complaining about the Arsenal goal being disallowed for offside. Jesus’ foot is irrelevant, he’s not a defender. It is offside because Trossard is in front of the BALL.

Constant mistakes from Ramsdale in the minimal minutes he's had this year, yet the manager is STILL apparently wrong for dropping him. Regardless of reason he simply is not performing at the level for a team with title aspirations.

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It [the result] was a big emotion; we are suffering too much, we have too many injuries, we lost four points against Sheffield United and Fulham at home. To win is difficult; my celebration is because we are suffering too much at the moment.

"We want to celebrate with our fans. If you have the right attitude, you win the game. It is difficult to explain [the injuries]; we are not used to playing so many games. I don't know the reason; we are working well in the week, managing well. Maybe it is not enough,

"My work is to understand and anayse the players I can use and change tactical disposition. We never change our ideas, but I have to put my players in the best condition. We played a great game today until the red card. One of the best of the season.

"Lewis Dunk made a mistake. Maybe he's like his gaffer in terms of emotion and passion!"

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Our first away win for us, it was a really important game for us.

"Performance-wise it was a very good game for us, we created a lot of chances, we were in front and we kept pushing until the end. A good result and a good performance.

"It has been a really good game, similar to Newcastle. That maybe looks like a more difficult game but I give a lot of value to this one because it is always uncomfortable to play here. They put pressure on every set piece.

"We started really well to put them under pressure, kept possession and overall we dominated the game. Our finishing was not the best but we got the points.

"It was important for us to score first, it was a very good goal and that allows you to find space because they play a little bit higher. With the players we have up front, we could damage them there.

"It is obvious that the last games have been really good performance-wise. The last four or five. We have to continue to do this because we need more wins.

"We know that we have to keep our standard there. This is our level, this is how we compete and we need to keep it up.

"We were not so clinical, especially second half, but this is good that Tav scored two goals. He is performing really well."

Luton Town manager Rob Edwards speaking to PLP: "I'm incredibly proud of the players today. It's the second time we've scored and someone has put one in the top corner immediately after but to go and get the winning goal... I'm really proud of them.

"You can't guarentee a win in football but the desire, the fight and the quality was all there for us. They put pressure on us but we got a little bit of luck.

"The goals were great. The set-pieces are obviously an area we work hard on. I thought Teden Mengi was outstanding today and he deserved his goal. The second goal - it was a phenomenal pass and Jacob Brown sprinted through to get that one-touch finish. It was a brilliant counter-attacking goal.

"It ended up being 13 minutes [stoppage-time]. I aged a little bit during that time! The fans were incredible. It was the first home win and it was a long time coming. We'll enjoy this tonight.

"We are a team that don't die, don't quit and keep fighting. We have some weapons. We know it will be tough and a real challenge but we have a good group. It's nice we got the points today we feel some of our performances deserve."

Newcastle midfielder Joelinton, speaking to Premier League Productions: "We have a great squad, with great character. The gaffer made a great point, think what we have not what we don't have. We had to go on the pitch and fight, and show how strong the team is.

"Everyone who comes in knows what to do. We were disappointed after the last game, we didn't play well. We started this game well, showed a lot of energy, wanting to prove how strong we are, and I think we did.

"This win makes everyone feel confident. We have to go game by game, but we take a game at a time, now we rest and prepare for Paris on Tuesday."

On playing multiple positions: "I like to play in the middle, but the gaffer knows he can count on me to play wide or as a striker. I will try my best to help the team like I always do, whichever position the gaffer plays us."

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson speaking to PLP: "I congratulate them. I thought they worked very hard for their victory. We can feel a bit unlucky as we had some good moments and their goalkeeper had an outstanding day.

"We thought we could have got that equaliser on at least three or four occasions. We have to accept today we weren't good enough to get the points we thought we could get out of this game."

On injuries to Eberechi Eze and Cheick Doucoure: "They are two of our more important players so of course it's devastating news in a way. Cheick Doucoure's injury is very serious, we don't know how serious Eberechi Eze's is."

On disallowed goal: "No complaints. From the sidelines I was rather hoping it wasn't going to be disallowed but I've seen the replays and Odsonne Edouard accepted it was handball."

On Michael Olise's goal: "Absolutely. We were really pleased for him. He's one of the players in the team we feel can be pleased with their day's work. There's not many who could say that. Unfortunately we threw that away after the equaliser for the winning goal."

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We have loads of frustrations. First half, after a great start, we didn't play well enough with the ball. Then we conceded two goals, they played through us.

"We were way beyond the levels we can play at. There was an opportunity to play. Second half was more positive, we had more intent. I just think if he gives that penalty, he's got to give so many. The fact he's seen that in open play and not seen ours, needing VAR, sums up where refereeing is at. He is number one, apparently.

"I'm trying to be in the supportive camp, but then we see that. We've not played well enough, but having got momentum, to see a decision like that is not easy. We kept going and we knew we'd get chances with their red card. We haven't made the most of it, A real mixed bag in terms of the result. We've got to look at ourselves, but Anthony [Taylor[ has done what he's done.

"It is a contact game; we are in the box. It is the second or third phase from a set piece. Okay, lots of penalties will have to be given. Then he doesn't give the one which is overturned. We need to play better than that first half, but that and the number one ref in the country are our frustration."

In open play, Brentford haven't really created that much and are preying on mistakes. For Arsenal, they have been the better team.

Moments [like Ramsdale's] are the really key moments that they have to take, and they haven't been able to do that.

I don't understand that offside. There are still part of Jesus leg beyond the VAR line for him. So line should surely be further forward than it is which could make all the difference. Someone please help explain.

    Will

The VAR line was drawn through Jesus's leg, and he's two feet in the air which the camera angles don't take into account. Make it make sense.

Neil: Tactics like Brentford's are killing the game. More terrified of conceding than actually trying to win the game.

Craig: In games like this, in the first half Arsenal need to shoot more from distance. Become more less predictable. Poor start by Arsenal.
